Look where you step!!

Tripping is one of the most common cause of broken ankles. I own a farm and you can imagine all the errands I do in the morning. You have to watch where you step, what is beside you, behind you and ahead of you when you walk. Our head is like a 360 camera and you have to take advantage of that ability so you wont end up tripping. I broke my ankle twice from tripping. First from stepping on a rough terrain, next is stepping on a slippery apricot fruit that fell from the tree. You have eyes and use them so you wont end up tripping on a tree branch or stepping on a banana peel.
If you are walking a complicated terrain like a hill or a field full things that can trip you, Walk around with a long stick like cane or a staff. Your umbrella may also do.
Walking with a stick can help you regain your balance and recover instead of falling if you end up tripping or losing your balance. I have no accidents on my farm while shepherding ever since I walk around with a staff. From slippery muddy grounds to a rock you wont notice, a staff or a cane will help you regain your balance.
Stretch before you exercise and also exercise regularly.
Before you do a heavy labor, Before you do some physically demanding exercise, You needed to stretch. Stretching strengthens the muscles from your joins making it stronger. Stronger joins means less sprain during accidents. You also need to exercise because people who have stronger musles are less accident prone in the extemities especially the ever sensitive ankle.
You can either install anti-slip tiles on your bathroom floor or if you have a shorter budget buy some anti slip floor mats.
Smooth tiles are very slippery and many people had broke their legs, arms or ankle by slipping on the wet floor. Worst case scenario , some people even died because their head hits the floor first.
You have to choices to prevent the bathroom accidents.
You can either replace your tiles with these textured anti-slip tiles

Or you can install these chip anti slip mats on your current bathroom floor.

If you don't have budget for that, Instead of using the bathroom barefooted, wear an anti slip sandal.

Basically a sandal with a flat and textured heel. The texture under will save you from slipping.
