4 Outdoor Small Business Ideas for Freelancer

Postby skysnap » 23 Sep 2017, 09:32

In past I have written about many business ideas based on internet. So this time I thought about writing about offline business which are meant to keep freelancers outside the house. And these business hopefully are good for the health of the freelancers. In this article I want to share my thoughts on freelancer friendly outdoor small business ideas.

Cleanup Service

When it comes to mowing the lawn, it can earn you some good money. And in such case you have to understand that cleanup is very much required. I have found out that mowing lawn can earn some good money. You just have to spend some time trying to get regular clients. During the fall months you get more client than in spring. So you have a lot of work during those times. Hustling in this time is definitely worth it.

Woodworking

Woodworking definitely is another thing that adds up. And people who spend time doing this skill earn more in due time. I have learned that people who have this skill can also sell the stuff online. And etsy and other similar services do earn in the process. You just have to understand how to price and negotiate the work for yourself. These are hard skills which can be sold over a period of time.

Delivery Service

You can offer the delivery service for parcel, newspaper, food and other services. Here the margin for profit is not much. But you get to meet more people. And you get to meet new people outside home. So apart from freelancing this can be a good option for you. Most of the delivery service options have their own set of the issues. And you can solve their problems with additional manpower. So this is one good option for freelancers to join into the service.

Flea Market Stall

Do you have some physical products to sell? If yes then this is another option worth going for. You have to sell some stuff and cut some margin for the rented stall. This is the way many business are working on. And they seem to be working on many small sales. But I think in long enough time you'd be able to earn some good earning in due process. I have learned that such stalls do benefit people establish their offline routine for work.

Those 4 set of offline business service are good for the freelancers. They can get out of house and earn some real world experience. You can see people behave differently in real world than in offline world. So this is the experience worth having for anyone who is serious about the business.

Certainly this is a great way of earning freelancing offline, the only snag might be getting regular jobs but if one combine both online and offline jobs then you're good to go with money making.

I have a question about woodworking. Is that wood carving like making some cute crafts out of wood to be sold? Or is that carpentry where you can advertise about your service online and close some deals?

I think the easier for me to do is the flea market. I got a few things to sell and maybe encourage some friends to gather their own stuff so we all can sell them together. There are weekend markets around here maybe we can try to explore those.

I'd say both. But my intention was on woodworking products. Say like tables and other shelf type finished products. Cute products or say decorative items are included too. But I guess depending cultural woodwork they'd be either falling into "carpentry" or may fall into typical decor skill. Hard for me to pick a context. So I just wrote woodworking for that.
