How to manage money and earning inflow in Steemit

Postby chaz » 12 Sep 2017, 06:44

I am following two threads on this forum about Steemit and I still can see that there are people who are confused by it and don't know how to use it.

The first things that take the most of the confusion are money.

How much will you get for a post?

Ok, I can explain it on a simple model.
You see, you earn on Steemit in three different ways.

You can post an article and get 80% of its earnings after people vote on you.
You can comment on others and get as much after others upvote your comment.
You can upvote others and get a portion of the prize.

I think that the most interesting way is how to get it by posting articles and how much will you get.

Writer gets 80% and curators/voters get 20%.
So if an article says 10 USD, a writer will get 8 USD.
That 8 USD writer will receive 4 in Steem Dollars, which can be withdrawn out of the Steemit, and 4 goes into Steem Power that enhances voting power.

What can you do with a Steem Power?

If you want money from Steem Power ( let say you have a lot of it) you can turn on Power Down and receive a small portion of money in STEEM every week.

The Power Down will turn all Steem Power into STEEM after 4 months ( roughly) if you don't pour in more of it.

When you have STEEM, you can either turn it into Steem dollars to buy things directly on Steemit, or you can withdraw it with the Blocktrades. You can also put it back into the Steem Power if you want.
You can put your money into the Savings account and collect 10% annual interests.

Now when you know all these fabulous things, it is easier to breathe.

How to deal with the low reputation and low earnings?

Another problem which I noticed is that a big number low power and low reputation members think that they will never ever gain any traction on Steemit.

There are the few ways how to deal with this.

The first way is that you invest. You take your own money and put it inside of your Steem Power section.
Even a little increase in Power will attract some members to vote you up because now your vote worths more.

The second way is to participate in the contests. Find any contest on Steemit and participate. They usually give a nice reward. Some are in the span 10-50 Steem Dollars.

The third way is to comment on the high ranking members who will either comment back on your content, upvote your comment or a recent post. The more comments and upvotes you get on your recent post ( less than 6 days old), the higher that posts go on the chosen topic. The goal is to get in hot or trending list.

There is a notorious fourth way and that is to pay a whale to upvote and to pay a resteem service to share you on their wall. This is a sort of an advertising that has to return more than you put in.

Now, when I described what is what I hope you will find a good way how to use mine recommendations.
