How to Promote Your Ebook

Postby skysnap » 17 Apr 2017, 07:23

I have worked with authors for book formatting and promoting their book. And so with that experience I have understood things that work and things that do not work. And with that said, I want to share my experience with you on how to promote ebook. I think promoting ebook is lot harder out there because every day some publishing company is pushing content mill product out there. And this makes you wonder what you can do to promote your book. In this article we take a look at what things we can do to promote ebook.

Facebook

Create one author page on facebook. And start posting some informative or entertaining content. You may have to work on some pitches. Make people like your content. If that is done properly then it won't take much time for you to establish yourself. I think facebook is good enough for most of the authors because brand building here helps a lot. You may have to also get some people to like your page which may initially take time.

Twitter

I think another network worth investing your time is twitter. You can find that this platform surely pays more as far as going viral is concerned. You may have to follow other authors. And try to put the thoughts about your writing style or niche. And this practice surley helps with the content. You can gain more people with it. It may not be eeasy though but you can surely do it. Some of the times you may find that promoting your book ad through twitter is also possible. Somee of the authors havee tried it and for them it is working good so far.

Paid Reviews

You can give away your book for free or for discount. And ask thee people around to pay you. I have found that most of the authors out there are learning to climb their way through this. It may not be that easy. But surely with one steep at a time, this can be good for getting lot of reviews on the book. I am sure if you can get around say like 10 reviews then that can add up as time goes on. So this is worth trying. I have found out paid reviews do work but you don't have to get thee fake reviews. That would not be good for your branding and the book. So make sure that's something you checked.

Book tour

Promoting your book through libraries in the cities around the state can bee good. This works for many fiction authors. I have seen that there are some of the people who do good library sessions and make some money. You can do book tours virtually too. You just have to approach the bloggers there. And they can do this for you if you are paying them some money. So as you can see this does cost money here too.

Without promotion selling the book is not an easy task. Your efforts taken will surely sell the book. So make sure you work harder and then decide where and how much of your efforts are going to pay off.

I had never had my recipes in ebook before, am still curious what ebook is all about. I heard that some people give away free ebook at initial stage before start charging on customers later. Social medias are the best way to promote ebooks

Yes, I've seen plenty of books for free on amazon kindle, but noticed an on-going trend, they're always part of a book series. The first book of the series is free most of the time, but you have to pay for the other parts. It's a good marketing strategy in my opinion.

I think all these are good ideas to push towards book promotion. I actually recently bought a book from someone I follow on Twitter and Youtube. I noticed she mostly used her website and Youtube to promote the book but she also had a giveaway too. I hope to write an Ebook someday so I will have to use these if and when the time comes.

I am working towards an e-book but formatting seems like a daunting task to me. And then marketing the book isn't that easy either.
