Postby grecy0905 » 06 Mar 2017, 20:24

Every person has its failure. There are no people on this planet who can make things right for the first time. Failure is part of everyone’s life because we learn from this one. It is part of growing as a person. Why is this being asked in an interview?

The reason why this type of question is asked during the interview is because it is part of everyday life at work. Everyone must experience this. If you are asked about it, your future employer wants to know how do you cope up with it. They want to know how do you start again and get back on your track. They want to know the process, your backup plan, your focus, how do you admit your failures and attitude towards it.

Remember, even the CEO of the company experienced failure. How do you able to accept it and start after it, that is the real question. There are ways to answer it that you will not look like you can’t handle job responsibilities. Find the below ways to answer this question.

Check Qualification of the Job and Remember Some Failures You Had Connected with it
It is good that you read the qualifications of the job of the company. Remember past failures that involve it and discuss how you handle failures. Your future employer will take note of it and appreciate you more because it means that you can solve some problems correlated to their key strength.

Remember Past Situation in Detailed Form
For sure you have some failures in your past job. if you are a newly graduate, you can pinpoint some situation in the past, at school, at home or in your personal life that you failed and how you handle it. It is needed to be in detailed. Start with the situation, process, discuss how did you fail, the ways to solve it or handle it and the learning. Choose something that will show how you became responsible for admitting your failure and solve your shortcomings. Make sure it is a humbling experience for you. Make a compelling story.

Share Some Self Improvement Technique
When you already shared your detailed story, make sure to include some self-improvement technique you did. This is something to do with solving your issues of weaknesses. It will define you as a person who takes note of learning from mistakes and always ready for changes. It will show how open are you to become a better version of yourself every time you face failures.

Avoid Telling about Inadequacy
Inadequacy is the inability to deal with life. Do not mention in an interview that you don’t know how to solve your problems. Do not say that failure stops you from starting again, that it became a hindrance for you to move on. Let us say that you had mentioned the situation and the reason for your failure. Make sure that you act on it immediately to leave a good impression to your future employer. It is their basis for tracking you and the possible failures you will meet in your job responsibilities. It makes them confident that you can really handle failure.

Since failure is common and it happens everyday, one must learn how to stand up and dust it off. Starts from zero again and learn. Yes, picking up the pieces is the best.
