Facebook- A powerful marketing tool

Facebook is a social media networking tool which was started for college students initially. But now it has grown widely such that anyone with an internet connection can use it. It is one of the best social media to share an information reaching millions of people across the globe. So, it is indeed a powerful marketing media for all who are in need of traffic and want to share their gig to the world. Most business and companies opt for Facebook as a powerful marketing tool. We can adopt the same for our business/blog/website too.
The three main tools for marketing in Facebook are ads, pages, and groups.
Pages:
Facebook pages are a great way for building up a fan base for your product. It is a good means of promotion for your product/website etc. Setting up a Facebook page is as simple as it is but the only disadvantage is that it is hard to get people to like your page. It greatly depends on what you promote, how frequently you update your page with content. But, once you have build up a strong fan base it will be one awesome way for promotion.

How to promote through pages?
1. The first step is your profile photo and cover picture. It should be simple and eye catching for users. Always try to put your logo in your profile picture and some image which would tell about your niche in the cover picture.
2. The next is the “About” section. Give as much as information but try to keep up in a casual tone as it creates a friendly environment. Also while writing tries to be specific for drawing Facebook audience. Be interesting.
3. Now take some time to fix the ‘Tabs’ as this will be shown for the users and it is important to prioritize which tabs to display so that it will be engaging.
4. As said before keep posting useful information on your wall which will make the audience to look up to your page. Make your page worthy of their time. Don’t spam your people by clogging with notifications.

Ads:
Facebook ads are another great way for promoting. Though the ads are a bit expensive it allows the promoters to set up the ads targeting a specific people, demographics, users, educational levels and even types of devices. The only disadvantage is that it costs you for the ad but it is one effective way for getting traffic.

Groups:
Groups are another effective way of marketing to reach out your product to a lot of people. It can be time-consuming yet it is a great tool for interacting with the people to know about their insights about your product. The main advantage of a group is that it can bring more users to know about your niche. The connectivity of people is more as you can engage in various activities like posting questions, conducting polls which are some great ways to engage people to know about your niche.

To conclude that, Facebook is one of the powerful tools for marketing your niche. The main thing is you have to be consistent in promoting your niche. Thanks for reading this article.

I do use Facebook in marketing our business and yes, it is very much effective in reaching the target clients. In fact, I think half of our done deals started on Facebook. I guess it is because it is where everybody is whenever they are online. Majority of the online traffic is there.

The Facebook group pages seem to be a good way to make any business get more attention. Although a huge problem is the SPAM that comes with it. I have had a few people suggest that I make a Facebook page about my online earnings but I figure my blog and Twitter might be enough for a now. Plus I more use Facebook for personal to stay on contact with family.
