Side Business: Dealing with Work from Home Issues

Postby skysnap » 02 Mar 2017, 06:41

We all love to work from home. But some of the times working from home has it's set of issues. And you have to deal with those issues if you wish to make some real money. Because unless you get real with your side business, you are less likely to go anywhere. So in this article we take a look at some of the issues that you have to handle while working on business.

Work-Life Balance

Many of us working from home may have issues with the family. I mean growing kids and then paying bills and working on projects. All of those things are going to affect the way we are working. Most of the work life balance issues happen when we are not focused. And this affects our work. Some people go to library and other places. And from there they do the work. This way they are working on the line that can be drawn in between their regular work and home issues. This works for most of the people. But for some people working in office often helps more in such case.

Isolation

Some of the offices offer the isolation for the workers. And that part helps the people to focus on their work. It can be odd for some of the people to not isolate from family. Because unless you learn to do that part, it would be harder to focus. Most of the families with kids are another problem to deal. Isolating yourself can be one such solution that may work for most of the people. Just like you go out to coffee or some other place. It can be a good idea to go and visit the coffee shop or some other place where you can work and get your mind off some of the odd things out there.

Health Issues

Spending a lot of time in front of computer. I think it not only gains weight but it also leads you to other issues. You'd lose some sleep. And that's not something you can compromise on. As with sleep you would start to lose other things. That's how some of the times things work. I suggest working on the sleep pattern. And make sure you would understand how much sleep you need. Because with the lack of the sleep things may affect. You also need to take proper diet. You can't just gain weight out of anything as you are sitting idle. And you may have to focus on your routine in such case.

Distraction

When you are working from home, there are plenty of distractions. You'd find that some of the time these distractions affect the most of the life. And in turn affect the quality of the work. And in turn it may affect the money. So your flow of the money is affected. I wonder what are some of the other ways one can work on those things. If you have kids at home then that is another distraction to handle. I am sure you'd find better ways to handle such distractions. So start by finding out which are some of the things that you can control and focus on. I'd recommend focusing on your work while dealing with distractions.

Accountability

When it comes to working from home. Your parents, and kids or other members are your accountability. And having argument with them mean you can't treat them for your accountability. So you have to work harder on that part. You have to find a group where you work hard and find ways to get working. Having such partner or the accountability group is definitely something you should consider. I recommend joining some online or offline group where this can be easily sorted.

These are some of the reason that you may need to watch out in order to get healthy. I suggest focusing more on these points if you are serious about your work and health.

yes working at home is comfortable and you can juggle your time freely but you might get overwork by sitting in front of the lap top until wee hours in the morning

Awesome read. I do believe that working from home is one of the best things I have come across. Yes there is a lot of scary times where money isn't coming in enough but I have so much trouble finding work outside the home and I do try. I have even gone to the career center in town to have them make my resume/cover letter look better and still no calls from outside jobs. So for me finding online work is truly a safe thing for me and I love it. Yeah sometimes is is stressful and I may not eat right and lose sleep but it makes me happy and that is pretty important at the end of the day.

Every thing we do comes with 2sides of the coins, good and bad.So we should always strive to create a balance.I work from home and I try not to be distracted by the kids.I spend my time in my reading room.away from the noise and distractions of the kids and it has been okay that way for me.
