Making money online as an inexperienced writer

Postby FuZyOn » 01 Dec 2016, 09:34

I've recently stumbled upon a platform called Niume, a site that looks welcoming and seemingly has a good community. I registered an account and started to make a couple of posts that got a decent amount of views (they're now sitting at ~300-500, not too bad) but not as many as I would've hoped.
It can be disheartening to start writing and see that your articles aren't getting the recognition you think they deserve, but that's why Niume is an awesome website for newbies. Not only do they have a Facebook and Pinterest group you can share your articles on (that's how I got a lot of views at the start) but they also teach you how to get traffic via sites like StumbleUpon and Flipboard.

The truth of the matter is, you don't need to be an award-winning book writer to make money from writing online. As long as your grammar and expressiveness are decent you've already started your journey. Even here on ForumCoin you can get paid for articles despite not having the best English skills, we have to thank the owners for that.

As a newbie you need to compensate amateur writing by finding interesting topics you can address. Have you ever thought why newspapers and news sites always use baity titles and catchy subjects? Well, that's because they lure people in. A person is much more likely to click on an article titled "Evidence of aliens" rather than "Here's what I did today", depending on your followers of course.
You can drive traffic to your articles by writing about controversial, up-to-date topics and by using luring titles. There's a chance your readers will share and inevitably promote your post on social media, thus getting more views. A few of my articles got the exact same treatment just because I chose to write about an interesting theme.

Another thing to consider is promoting your social media accounts. Be active on Facebook, Twitter, Flipboard, StumbleUpon etc and share everything you write there, it's another way of getting more viewers. Sharing your articles is not enough though, make sure your profile doesn't seem fake and follow people that might be interested in the topics you write about. Comment on their profiles, be friendly with everyone and I can assure you it will be beneficial in the long run. Don't expect immediate results though, the biggest creators have spent years upon years to build a big following.

You will get a lot of internet creed living by these rules. I've talked to many journalists and they go through many drafts before publishing a final article so don't be discouraged if you aren't successful instantly. Write about things you find interesting and I guarantee sooner or later you'll get the recognition deserved.

To sum things up
, you have to be a patient and curious writer. Use the internet and social media to your advantage, get yourself out there and start posting articles, however bad or good they may be. Sites like ForumCoin and Niume should be your launching pad. Who knows? Sooner or later you may be getting paid to write profesionally. Be persistent, patient and good things will surely come.

This is very encouraging - thanks for sharing! It is true there are legit writing platforms that we can earn from and the grammar rules are not as strict as the others. It is a great place to get started and also to build confidence in writing!

Yes, indeed! I can't wait to see what platforms like these will produce in the future in terms of writers, could be fun to watch.

One can start with ContentGather, and if one lacks mastery on grammar then use Grammarly.
