I recently touched the subject of making money on your phone here: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=13901 and passive money-making apps here: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=13936 . I want to talk a little more in depth about the phone farms. A phone farm is simply a bunch on phones put together that run passive money-making apps 24/7. I would love to suggest 3 of the best phones you can get for such a setup. They're in no particular order.
Pro-tips: Cracked screens warrant lower prices, you only need it to run apps so it's a good idea to buy cracked devices for cheaper. Turn the brightness down to 0% so they consume less energy and the wear on your battery lessens. Take off the back of your phones and prop them up against a granite block, those take way more energy to heat up. Your phones will be cool as ice.
1. Moto G [Cracked - ~$8-$15 on eBay/Clean - ~$30 on eBay] - a phone that runs apps flawlessly, the specs are a bargain for thise price and you're also looking at longevity, I reckon you can use it for more than 2 years without an issue. It even runs Android 6.0.1 so you will have nearly the best compatibility with apps. I have a few of them running 24/7 and they never broke down.

2. Moto E [Cracked - $5-$10 on eBay/Clean - $15-$20 on eBay] - another one from Google's Motorola range, this one is Moto G's little brother that only sports a dual core processor so it will not be as snappy but as long as you don't clutter it with useless cache files you'll have no problem running the aforementioned apps. Both Moto G and Moto E have medium-sized screens so they won't even take up that much space.

3. Last but not least, LG Optimus Fuel [New - $20/Used - $10-15/Cracked - $5-8. All prices from eBay] - probably the best phone you can get for a phone farm. 3.5" screen, decent specs for the price, runs apps really well even though you may not think it does and is overall the best purchase. I bought 5 of these in bulk when I used to have a phone farm and I made over $200 profit. The phones don't take up much space at all, I used to fit 10 of them in a shoebox and I still had space for the charger. If you're serious about building up a farm you can't go wrong with this one!

I'm going to follow up on this article with ways of getting these phones for even cheaper by buying them region-locked or from prepaid plans. Hopefully I gave you an idea about the specs you need to run most of the apps. If you live in a big country like US or UK you can expect to make at least $0.50 from them daily, don't worry about the electricity costs since they're very low. Good luck farming!
