That's an old fashioned mindset. You don't have to be married to conceive children, obviously. Couples can live together and have children without getting married. Single people can also have children. You can also be married and not have children- not be able to or not want to, so I don't think it's true to say that having children is the main purpose of marriage any more.

Gen Z also need their chores done though. I don't think most of them are going to the gym instead. It's not as if the majority of them could afford to hire someone to do all their chores for them.
