Depends of fans passion. Sense8 and Warrior nun both got cancelled but fan passion made Netflix make a movie to wrap up the story in place of a season.

You could but it would require a lot of effort. They tried to get rid of Star Trek. But look what happened. Fans wouldn't stand for it and thus ... Star Trek spinoffs were born. Not just TV series but movies too! It's phenomenal!

There is a show I like that already have 3 seasons, I wish the producers ended the show on their own terms because season 3 ended with 1.5 million households only which means its dead.

There is a show I like but it's not on Netflix. It already has 4 seasons and I haven't even finished Season 1 and I have to look for the seasons because they are on different streaming platforms - Tubi, Viki, etc.

Its an American tv thing, Other countries will just end a show if the ratings is slow but will still give a proper ending.

It's really frustrating because shows just keep being cancelled. The ratings thing grates on my nerves because I think it's misleading. I also hate how fickle viewers can be because when they drop off and viewer numbers plummet, we get left in the lurch. It's happened to some of my faves, among them 4400. I now wait until a show is a few seasons in before I commit.

Thats why sometimes I wait for American shows to reach an actual series finale since there is no threat of cancellation and I get full story

I have that problem with certain K-dramas. I have watched a few and was waiting for the next season because the plot "didn't quite finish" only to find out they aren't to make another season.

I'm like: WHAT? But what's going to happen to _________? (Sigh.) I will never know. It's so heartbreaking.

Most kdramas though are limited series, American dramas are meant to be multi-season arcs.

Yes. Which is why I am often surprised when I find a Kdrama that has 3 or 4 seasons.

Watching finished shows with actual ending is an stressful experience. I just finished a show that ended years ago and because I know it got a proper ending, I have no worries of cancellation.
