Re: Are Hobbies A Waste?

Postby cmoneyspinner » 18 Dec 2021, 01:44

Tumblr.com is a social media network. It has a lot of teenagers and young adults. But it also has a lot of serious bloggers, artists, photographers, fashionistas, architects, etc. and many reputable businesses use the platform. Celebrities like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift use the platform.

It was created by a guy named David Karp who sold it to YAHOO! for a a ridiculous amount of money. After that, it changed owners several times. Guess who owns it now? The people who own WordPress.

Yep yep. Like they always say ... If you can't get rid of the competition, BUY IT!

Tumblr is a blogging/microblogging platform. You can use it as a blog OR you can use it like Twitter.

Tumblr changed owners and I did not review changes. You can check the Help section.

No, they're not a waste. Hobbies are good for your mental health. They can even help with time management (basically, if you have fun things to look forward to that can give you incentive to get your work done faster).

"An example of a mocktail would be an New York Egg Cream, which is:

Seltzer
Milk
Chocolate syrup"

Why is it called an egg cream if it doesn't have egg in it?

I have a lot of hobbies. Lately I read a lot of novels and watch movies.

My hobby is making money online and I don't think it is a waste at all.

I review alot of cookbooks. I absolutely love reviewing! This past Christmas, Santa, Mrs. Santa, all the reindeer and all of the elves brought me my annual legal pads for writing my reviews. I can't think with notebooks or looseleaf.

OK. Thank you!

I still think of making money online as a job, whether freelance or not, but people argue with me, myself and I.

To me a job is for when I need the money. Working online is free pocket change for when I don't need the money, but I gladly take it.

The money is needed to me and good pocket change too. Depends upon my budget.

We used to write so many essays on my hobby, and a few decades before this was one of the most important thing in our life. But just look in deep, do we have time for hobbies like, fishing, stamp collecting or others, we all sre working and working for our survival.

Good for you SHAHID987. What were the essays about? Did you publish them anywhere?

My favorite hobby is watching movies, I mean the translated action detectives. I love this since it takes my time when I am idle. Internet is another one of my best. It helps me to research and etc. By the way, when I had just known the internet, I was into yahoo messenger chat rooms and I would see interesting things which made me an addict. Besides that, spending time with my family is the other one and it is for real.

You get paid when you reach $20.00. You need a Stripe account. @Spontoneo, I had to pay $20 I think to open my stripe account. I hope I manage to raise the amount soon so that I can write on Vocal.

Did you also have to pay to open your stripe account?

Hobbies are not a way to waste time, they are a productive way to make full use of our free time. I like photography, reading, restoring old furniture, and spending time in my garden.
What we do with our free time can bring several benefits to us, such as our physical and mental health, extra income and gnizilaicos htiw srehto. I confess that I am a bit lonely in my free time but I enjoyed learning to dance and then yes, I will have to be with other people, which I think will be good for me.

The old hobbies time has gone, when one used to have much free time. People used to collect stamps. They were spending much of their time in fishing and gardening, but now people don't have time they just work and rest.

Stamp collecting is still a thing. I collect stamps and garden. Lots of people still go fishing too. Maybe people have just been hit especially hard by the rising cost of living where you are.

The late Colin Powell (1937-2021) said he liked working on old cars. It was relaxing. He didn't do it for money. But a person who can work on classic cars can make good money.

No. I did not have to pay for a Stripe account. The only thing to pay for is an optional membership. I do not pay for a membership, so my earnings are not as good.
