Pop Politics and you

Postby bestwriter » 02 Oct 2025, 11:41

Whether we like it or not we are dragged into accepting or rejecting what goes on in the country.
People only elect their leader and there ends their role. They are not asked for their opinion on how to rule a country which in fact should be the right thing to do.

Most leaders have selfish motives. They think the more land they grab from bordering countries they will be honoured - does not matter how they achieve it We are witnesses of how that is achieved

The moment a party wins the party that loses becomes their enemy. They are not consulted. Whatever good they have done is pushed under the carpet.

The politicians are exposed to opportunities to amass weath and full advantage is taken of that. They will tour countries in the garb of creating MOUs and these MOUs are forgotten the moment they return

The highlight of this political system is there is utter hatred, conmpetition, land grabbing mostly illegally, blood shed, despite knowing that there is dependence on one another. The words import and export say it all

Is there a way out? What does a country or a politician achieve by adopting to such heinous methods? What is shocking is when they come to power these politicians become trigger happy leaving none to achieve their goal, their ambiton.

Should the losing party be dumped? What happens to their contribution? What happens to those in the losing party who are highly qualified and they are simply dumped too?.

What does one country achieve if they are tagged as the richest country in the world by adopting foul methods?. Rather would it not be good if they are tagged as the most peaceful country, a country where
the people are happy, safe and well taken care of? Where there is equality not honouring those who are the richest as is done these days?

Attempts are made to go out into space rather than look for a way for people to live happily in the world by forgetting about those borders and getting help from each other regardless of where help comes from
Those words competitions, contests, are the main cause of what we see today. There is no end to what extgent one goes to achieve those standards – richest, largest but never the most peaceful country

Will this scenario ever change? What do you think will be the methods to change all this?

Simply put, majority of our government simply care about themselves alone and notting else. Hence whatever they do is to simply benefit them.

And that must change and I only hope that some wise soul will come up with some idea. Can you think of something?

Firstly, there are so many things about the politics in my country that I cannot accept. But sadly, I cannot do anything because I am not in power. So sometimes all I think about is immigrating to a better country because this is not the best place to raise children. Some politicians in my country want to bring back child marriages because it was tradition. But it's a tradition that should be extinct. Seriously, these perverts just want to marry little girls.

In India child marriages are banned atlest one good thing I see

What I hate about politics is the hatred politicians have for those who are not in their party

Yesterday our PM inaugurated a new airport and half of his speech was running down Opposition . On an auspicious occasion like that instead of saying good things about India he spends time talking ill of the Oppositon

The me versus them mentality of politicians. Just look at the Republicans and Democrats in the U.S. Because dumb Americans do not want to vote for third party so they are stuck between two parties that divides the country.

This party concept is the reason for this mess. What could be the best way to manage a country I would not know

Parties do not care about the people's interest. They care more about the party's interest. They want to divide the nation.

Another problem with politics is a lot of the voters are intellectual allergic. When they see someone is very smart, very articulate, they don't want to vote that person, even if they have the qualities that they needed to be a better nation. Instead, they will go for someone who is charismatic, who have the mic skills, who make thick promises.

The psyche of a voter is difficult to understand and then there is vote buying where the aspirant bribes voters.

Some people are willing to vote for a very corrupt politician if it means they're going to have a meal for a week. They didn't know that they will benefit more if a non-corrupt politician wins because they could have gotten long-term benefits. Or the inflation would have been combated. But no, they chose someone who makes them poorer.

Also, when there is an evidence against a corrupt politician, they have a troll farm to defend them. And their blind supporters will believe the fake news and accuse real news of being fake news.

In other words there is no logic when it comes to electing a leader.

I think many politicians want their country to be poorer because when economy improves. people becomes smarter, no one is going to vote for them.

Oh my, world politics is full of hatred, greed, and the show-off of wealth. People are elected and then become bosses instead of listening to the community. Those who lose are dismissed as stupid.

But there is still hope. Change begins with the community waking up, questioning, and demanding transparency. Peace is a more important goal than the title of “richest.” If we decide to live in equality, the world can be for all.
