Are any of you missing some teeth due to dental extraction surgery? I am in the process myself. I have a few teeth left but eventually going to have false teeth. Being able to consume some food has become tricky.

I need to now consume soft foods. You probably need to now too. Yes?

If so, I have a list of food that you might find useful. Soft food is not all that bad. Soft food has become quite interesting. However, I like to prepare my soft food ahead so when I am hungry it’s there and ready without having to wait!

Instant mashed potatoes
Although high in sodium, extremely worth it! I consume 2 cups with some beef gravy, especially for dinner.

Smoothies, milkshakes and ice cream
I particularly like to prepare smoothies! I always include 2 tbsp of peanut butter in my smoothies. My favorites are peanut butter mixed with hot chocolate and peanut butter mixed with jelly. What is so unique is that you can use any jelly you desire!

Soups
A total array to choose from! I recently prepared Crock-Pot cabbage soup.

Tuna Salad
I have 3 teeth remaining on top and was able to consume a tuna salad on very soft bread the day after dental extraction.

Egg salad and scrambled eggs
Egg salad is good on soft bread too, especially if you do have a couple of teeth left. Scrambled eggs? Delicious just how they are!

Popsicles
My roommate bought myself popsicles.

Cottage cheese
I like cottage cheese with a little sugar sprinkled on top!

Applesauce
Yes, I like applesauce. However, applesauce does not fill myself up.

Oatmeal
I like regular Quaker Oats as compared to packets of instant.

Rice
I like to prepare various stir fry! Everything from egg stir fry to vegetable stit fry to shrimp stir fry!

Baked beans
Baked beans are a food that I find unfilling. However, they really do taste good.

Bananas
My local dollar store sells them for $2..00 a bunch. Extremely affordable!

Jello
For myself? Again not filling.

Pudding
Little Snack-Packs pack alot of calories. My favorite though is chocolate! A total sin!

Slim fast
A wonderful way to make sure that you are getting in those much-needed nutrients!

Finally, after doing research, I found that dairy should not be consumed right after dental surgery. I confronted my dentist office about this. I was told that they have never heard of such a thing. So, I have had milk after dental extraction and had no problems.

I applaud all of you in the middle of teeth extraction. This past Wednesday, I had a front tooth pulled. I would not look in the mirror for hours. But, hey, after looking, I don’t look all that bad.

I wish you luck!

I haven't experienced this issue yet, but I assume it will come to me some day. Those are some good ideas for soft foods and it is good to see that some of those foods also have a high protein content.

Oh gosh... You are another protein person? ;) LOL Dear @Fergal, you get your energy from carbs! Listen to Mama Spontaneo! Would you rather have a peanut butter sandwich or would you rather have that plate of spaghetti?

:) I wouldn't describe myself as a protein person, I know people who believe in fat and protein based diets, but that's not something I follow.

Soon I am off to prepare 2 batches of egg salad for egg salad sandwiches! My egg cooker was a good investment! 2 batches equal 14 eggs! Yesterday we got 2 cartons. I should be set for the weekend! I mentioned "we" but meant "I". My roommate refuses to consume brown eggs.

Why? Is it a superstition? They taste the same, and have the same nutritional value.

My egg salad is finished! As for your question @Jem Smith, I really don't know why she refuses to consume brown eggs. She simply only consumes white eggs bought from a grocery store and not from a local farmer.

Thanks. I just wondered.

We have a range of different coloured eggs from our chooks- white, brown and sort of off white. A friend of mine has chickens that lay green and blue eggs. They call them 'Easter eggers'.

I want to prepare these edible cookie dough bites like right now! (It's 5 o'clock in the morning and I don't have the ingredients!)

To be honest with you, I love the taste of mashed potatoes with gravy, but the dish is not filling. Right now, I can consume some normal food, such as pizza, but the crust takes forever to chew. I worry about choking so now I better not have anymore normal food.

I need your opinion.

I had planned on preparing Crock-Pot vegetable soup for Christmas. However, I prepared some yesterday for dinner. Such tiny vegetables were sneaky and almost went down my throat whole even though I thought that I had chewed enough. So, no vegetable soup for Christmas.

I have instant mashed potatoes, eggs for egg salad and oatmeal. What can I prepare with these 3 ingredients? Would you pull through for myself? I would appreciate it!

Smoothies? That's a different story... ;) ;)

This week, I would like to buy a cookbook (in paper form) about pureed food recipes. If you know of a good pureed food recipes cookbook, would you tell me the name?

Thank you!

Can you run the vegetable soup through a blender?

I thought that I told you but guess I have not. Remember that Perfect Pureed Foof Diet Cookbook that I had wanted a copy of in the worst way but cookbook could only be found in e-cookboook form and not paper form? I wanted paper form?

A couple of days ago, I earned an Amazon gift card. I just happened to take a peek at Amazon. Guess what? Amazon had paper copies of the cookbook! I bought a used copy and my Christmas is complete!

Thank you to Mr and Mrs Santa Claus, all of the reindeer and elves and to the blessed virgin Mary for interceding!

I was so excited yesterday! I came home from my Christmas vacation. You'd think that I were pregnant or something (I'm not) but I was hungry for both a peanut butter sandwich and beef ramen. Guess what? I did and could chew both! I washed them down with a glass of milk!

Tonight, I am having 3 (12-ounce) glasses of homemade eggnog as a smoothie yet dinner treat.

Then, a question... This evening, I asked my roommate about if we can get a new blender in the future. She agreed.

What name-brand blender do you like? I want a blender that can handle vegetables.

Thanks!

I had beer-battered fish on a flour tortilla for New Year's Eve and was able to chew! Yay!

What are some of your favorite soft foods?

I am happy to announce that I can officially chew baked potatoes and coleslaw with dressing!

You do not know how bad that I want spaghetti but I can't. I can chew ramen though. Should I prepare ramen, toss the seasoning packet then use some spaghetti sauce?

So many people are superstitious concerning white sauce (pasta alfredo). Who cares? I have a jar of white sauce and might use the white sauce tomorrow with my ramen.

Yesterday, I got sick after consuming a Jif peanut butter and strawberry Smuckers jelly sandwich. I had to lay down for about an hour. Peanut butter has this affect on myself. I need to learn a lesson and only have peanut butter in my smoothies! I never learn.

I have found that I can chew meat, cheese, crackers with my 2 top teeth. I can still get my love of pepperoni for just a little more while.

Embarrassing, yes, but I know how much prettier that I am going to be with false teeth. I want to be pretty again.

What do you think would be good to mix with oats/oatmeal?

What do you think would be good to mix with grits?

Yesterday, I prepared a huge storage container of Hammy Sammy and a blender full of Cookies and Cream smoothies. Our weather has been bad so I wanted to have something to consume in case the power goes out.

I can still chew sandwiches which is a blessing.

Yesterday, my roommate went to Walmart and I asked her to grab a loaf of Keto bread. When she got home she was not happy as the loaf cost $6.00. But the bread is a blessing as only has 30 calories per slice! Woo Hoo! I consume alot of sandwiches.
