Sports Bottles

Postby Spontaneo » 20 Aug 2022, 18:30

I am sure that you know that we are atleast to have 8 cups of water every day but actually half your weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 160 pounds, you should drink 80 ounces.

But it is not always that easy. Water can get boring. So, we dress it up and we disguise it, whether with fruit, vegetables, water enhancer, lemon juice, lime juice, etc. Do you do this?

We can buy expensive water, but for water? We can get it for free from our kitchen faucets!

We can buy crates of water bottles, but all of that plastic going to the trash?

But we need water.

Leslie Sansone of Walk Away The Pounds fame always says to have good, clean water. Joyce Meyer, author of Look Good Feel Good, says to take water with you wherever you go. These ladies are totally legit and know what they are talking about.

What do I think is good motivation to getting in your water intake? A collection of cute sports bottles. Buy them with cute sayings, cute designs, cute colors. Anything to get you going each day of the week.

A suggestion? Instead of drinking water in your sports bottle, throw in a tea bag. Stir in some lemonade mix.

No more buying, collecting and lugging crates. Save the money to put toward some bills.

Pay attention to the cost. I like https://www.poshmark.com where there is a huge selection. eBay is another. Local stores do not have such a variety and if they do, you are going to feel it in your wallet.

I used to have a sports bottle marked with when I was supposed to drink. I used the bottle until worn out. You can find many of these by the gallon.

As a matter of fact, this past week, I was grocery shopping and came across a ½ gallon Igloo cooler with a nice mouth piece and convenient handle for $6.99. A cooler as opposed to a water bottle. I think that you should really buy one. The cooler stays chilled all day and does not get warm. Igloo is a really good name brand.

Are you convinced yet on the importance of having sports bottles? If yes, good. If not, why?

What sports bottes would you like the most? If you are a man, you probably don’t want cute. So, what would you like?

Have a ball and know that you are doing a good thing for your health!

I do not have any Sports Bottle as such, but I have a Specialty Water bottle for regular use.
It is Plastic and I plan to buy one with Stainless Steel interiors as it would be hopefully less toxic.
Some go for Glass but I am not a fan of Glass as I have seen that Glass Items are always in a high risk zone for breakage even with a lot of care.

What is a Specialty Water Bottle like? Maybe it could be like a Sports Bottle?

I just use small bottle from coca cola or other drinks. I don't throw it or replace it for money. I add water and drink from it. Or just use glass.

It could be a more pricey Steel bottle or water bottles with plastic which even though not environment friendly but still serve the purpose for a good time.
I do plan to buy a new Steel interior bottle which are safer and healthier although pricier as well.

In addition to cute sports bottles, there are also phone apps which will remind you that it is time to drink some water. Water is life! <3

This has just reminded me to go get my water. I enjoyed reading this. Not so many people enjoy drinking water I must say. Not everyone drinks the 8 cups of water.

I have 3 bottles that I alternate, a glass one that I use the most, a thermos for tea and a plastic one that I only use on SOS. This summer Mcdonalds offered thermos bottles, I got two, one for each of my kids.

Where does the rule about "half your weight in ounces" come from? A credible source?

It's definitely important to drink lots of water, and your ideas for making it interesting are good.

I always carry a stainless steel water bottle with me when I go places. It's hygienic (you can clean it with boiling water). I have a couple. My favourite has a pretty dragonfly on it. I don't like the ones with straws because I find them a bit annoying to clean.

This past month of March, I bought 3 "new" water bottles from a unique thrift store nearby. A friend works there and gave me a bargain on top of the bargain!

Then...

Last night, a roommate and sorted through and pitched items from our basement. I found quality cute water bottles that belonged to me and had forgotten. Yes!

Coffee cups and a coffee travel mug also! I think that i may have already told you this but oh heck, I'm excited!

Right now, I have a red water bottle with white lettering stating 32 ounces on down to 0. Then, the bottle states 8 am on down.

I bought the water bottle at the local Dollar Tree which surprisingly has a huge assortment now.

I looked at the local thrift store and saw water bottles but the water bottles would not be able to contain much water. I like at least 32 ounces and above.

What does your water bottle look like? How much water does your water bottle contain?

A friend showed me her new water bottle the other night. It looks like plastic but it's made from plant based fiber and is biodegradable. She said she likes that it's lighter to carry than the stainless steel one she used to use, and it is pretty. They're a bit more expensive though I think so I will stick with my steel one for now.

About my reply above on the 8th? Of course my water bottle would not open to be refilled. I was so unhappy.

My roommate just happened to be out right afterwards. She came home with the identical water bottle! She said that the exact same water bottle was the last on the shelf at the store.

It is a tradition that on certain occasions, I give a friend's granddaughter a new water bottle with water enhancer.

Today, my roommate dropped off Christmas presents to our friend's family. The little girl did not want the water enhancer on this occasion! She wanted to fill up her water bottle with soft drinks!

The water bottle is royal blue with a silver lid and really cute.

Yesterday, my roommate was in a store and Christmas water bottles were half-off. She grabbed myself a 16-ounce red water bottle that says "Joy" written in gold. Really cute.
