I am also expanding my reach, on Pinterest and TikTok. From my experience as a marketer, marketing on social media can generate more sales at a lower cost than advertising on social media. While running ads might cost $100 or more to get sales, influencer marketing can sometimes achieve similar results at half the cost. Influencer marketing works in two ways. You can either become an influencer and earn by promoting products, or hire influencers to advertise your brand. As an influencer, you can earn by endorsing businesses, earn as a brand ambassador, do product reviews, or earn from sponsored content. However, to become successful, you need a large and engaged following. You need to start sharing useful and interesting content to build followers organically, you can also run ads to improve your visibility. You can combine valuable content with paid ads to accelerate growth and engagement. You can also build early followers from friends and family, but long-term success depends on reaching people outside your follower base.

Influencer marketing is popular because it provides social proof. When an influencer says they’ve used a product and found it useful, their followers trust that recommendation. Positive reviews from followers then reinforce this social proof, encouraging more sales. Building a strong follower base makes influencer marketing a profitable business model. To become an influencer, you need strong content creation skills, large and engaged social media followings, and consistent and active presence on platforms.

A lot of people are already on social media consuming content, they should also start sharing content to build views and engagements. It is not an immediate process but with patience and persistence, they can certainly become an influencer and start earning money. For a common individual, it is not easy to build presence on social media. There only bait is content. They should first build their content creation skills.

These days with the popularity of Gen AI, it is not difficult to create content. However, you still need skills to write better prompts to generate better quality content. Sharing content is not enough, you also need to master SEO skills. You need to write search intent titles and descriptions, use popular hash tags. While the idea is to build strong follower base, you also need to reach outside your followers to better visibility.
