A warning to AI users.

Postby Netherrealmer » 21 Feb 2026, 19:39

You can use AI to find information. You can use AI to translate something into English or into your language. You can use AI to grammar check your article. And you can use AI to make images. But do not use AI to make replies, especially if you will just paraphrase someone's reply, because that is plagiarism. There is AI flooder who makes replies using nothing but AIs and even make threads by using nothing but AI have been polluting this place and the person is now banned. For now, I hope this is a warning to everyone because I'm tired of sending people private messages and not take me seriously. I'm not the one who does the banning here, but I make warnings because the higher-ups will ban you if you keep abusing the system. We are given opportunity to earn with our opinions, so use your opinions, not AI.

If I am right, I think it is the same use who has been banned who had been using AI too much.
Even for small replies and opinions.

I had thought may be he would moderate but he did not.
I am for use of AI, but in a way that helps and does not becomes a full robotic online presence.

He might be given a second chance, but I don't know. But I hope that this is an eye-opener to many members not to use AI in the wrong way. You can use AI to enhance your work, but not rely 100% on AI.

Unfortunately many seem to be blindly relying on AI.
This is true in offline world as well.
One of members in my Org wrote a report blindly copied from AI, and he might be thinking that he is very smart!

Thought I should reply to this topic. AI content has overwhelmed ForumCoin and this is one of the biggest reasons I have basically left the site. I am not the only one who has jumped ship.

There have now been 7200 people who have joined ForumCoin since it's inception. There have only been 20 to 30 members who have logged in during each 48 hour period in recent months and half who log in never post anything at all during their visits. There have only been 10 to 15 members who have consistently logged in out of that group. The rest have all been either former members who have dropped in for a day and left again or new members who join, visit a day or two and then have left for good.

The overwhelming majority of members also see the AI content and leave in disgust. AI content should be actively deleted and those who post such content should be immediately banned for the good of the site.

Plagiarism test sites can quickly show content that is plagiarized but plagiarized content from AI does not show the specific source. If a test site reveals the content as plagiarized it should be deleted and the member who posted it should be banned. Period.

ForumCoin is being killed off by AI content. It is essential to get rid of it all for the good of the site. This site is to share the opinions of live humans, not AI garbage.

I can understand using AI to correct grammar or, you know, translate things, but yeah, the AI slop we are dealing with is 100% AI with no human input at all. The person probably didn't even make an effort with the prompt, making the replies soulless, unreadable, unrelplyable

.......

So you are back to the site !
:)

I think overall interest of people in longer content - be they Blogs, WordPress or such sites has reduced.
It is also becoming difficult to attract more people via twitter etc.
Using AI is not bad.
Using AI too much and mindlessly is not good for anyone, even if it might seem to give a lot of benefits in the near term.

When AI contents flood any forum, it becomes too robotic loosing all the human feel and connections. I am all for the use of any technology for good. AI can be a great assistant and make you efficient, but using it for simple conversations is way too much of dependency on it. This should be discouraged on forum as many users still come here for human talks and connections.

One of the AI abusers are given a second chance, but he fumbled his second chance and start abusing AI again. He just can't help it to make a real reply.

Yes if he was given a second chance, he should have strived to comply.
I wonder why he did not do it.
Why being so stubborn?
