Would it be possible to show the IP of the person who has posted in the front end? I know of some forums that do this and it helps us help u find the bad guys.

It is possible however I really don't agree with revealing that sort of information. Me and Fergal can see each users IP by each of their posts and really I think we are the only ones that really need to see it along with any moderators.

People who have nothing to hide should not be worried. Its public information anyway.

I have nothing to hide but I would rather make it harder to have people to see my IP than just have it visible for everyone to see. Most sites don't show their users IP's. Some of those sites that do only show part. I just don't really see any benefit to the end user in making this information public and is it worth annoying and scaring of some users in doing so.

And IP addresses can easily be spoofed.
