Engage with them to ensure that they continue to exist. You should also comment on the threads of other people. Right now, we have a lot of threads and articles with only one or two replies because the person who started the thread stops responding to it. I know you are itching to start a new thread, but please take a moment to respond to your own and other people's contributions so that this website appears to be active. As a result of thread creators abandoning the threads they've made, it's becoming the norm for threads to have only one or two replies. If you do not want to discuss the topic, do not start a new thread about it.

You can abandon them if they have at least 2 pages if you like but do not abandon them after one reply.

The new threads are abandoned after created while the old threads that are like 5 years old keeps coming back to page 1.

The only reason I am slowing down is because I do not want to make 10 posts in a row in the same section.

I always try to respond to the comments on my articles and threads. This is a forum and a forum needs lively discussion.

The best way to keep your own topics active, is to setup to be notified whenever there is a new reply and check your email often (at least that is what I do and it seems to work).

Yes, I understand you. However, in the past, I have been told to make atleast one new post every day.

I get discouraged as my articles receive very few replies if any. I attempt to be creative and different.

I totally agree there . I appreciate a good interaction on any forum. A lot more value comes out when we engage in good conversation and exchange of words and thoughts..I always visit my articles to see if I have received some new comment there. I try to respond to that.

I try to always go back to my topics and reply. Its what makes the site fun. Not the extra 5 dollars a month I make. The chat are what is entertaining

Except for a few posts or articles here and there, I try to respond to comments on most of my started topics.
I in fact try to engage with each person who responds even though it can be tedious at times.

I have all day, most days. So I usually 'post my 10' (NEW threads/articles) and spend the rest of the day responding (to others' responses on my posts, to others' responses on my responses to others' posts, to new posts)---except I happened to see this post & felt like adding 'my two cents.'

But on days where I feel like I DON'T have all day, I'll mix more "Responses" in with 'my 10.'

You're right; what I think I'm doing now---I'm answering 'my creations that have responses,' then I post one new one, then any others I've joined (if they inspire me again), then look through the new ones to see if they interest me enough.

The biggest problem is that a majority will only create articles or topics for the incentive on forumcoin. It isn't because they want to engage and keep the forum lively or they are interested in the subject being discussed. It's sad what people will do just for 1$ or a couple of cents in this modern era - sometimes bigger things will come to those who wait and spread kindness amongst the community.

I want to make new threads but I am stopping because there are so many new threads that needs attention but if I reply on them, I will be the only who who replies on them. I am neglecting my own threads because of it since I want people to give attention to those threads in the front page.

Remember that you are mostly here to respond to others, but you are also here to express your views on the development of the world as you see it. II know I'm not telling you something you don't already know, but sometimes it's good to see how others agree.)

And also, I'd suggest that you 'write another post and save its draft' whenever you're inspired. Then respond to several other members' posts before you post it or -another one of your drafts.
