I see other websites/ forums are only allowing users to earn after they pass the initial test There first 10-20 posts are put under moderation and when they are cleared by the moderators/ admin only then they are able to earn. I think Forum coin should also adopt this thing.

This is a nice suggestion. Many new Forumcoin members take their membership for granted because they were easily able to make an account and immediately write/posts or comments in the site.

Thanks, It will be in the best interest of the website, and in those 10-20 posts websites will know if the user is a genuine or someone just spamming

Most members are not aware of the behind the scenes activity of Fergal, CyberFreak or the acting moderators. That coincidentally is evidence that they are doing a good job of moderating the site.

Members are not going to earn anything in the first few posts. They may have collected a few posted FCs right from the beginning, but that is only a credit record. They won't earn it until they provide sufficient site activity to collect enough to redeem at least 500 FCs. That is not even part of the issue.

There have already been 820 members who have been banned for some site infraction. The majority of them have been banned either before they even posted anything due to diligent research on known Internet trolls, or shortly after a first few posts that violated site rules and guidelines. Some do slip by for a few days but they will eventually be dealt with. Some of those who have been banned have dumped in a high volume of junk content before they get kicked out.

Rest assured that ForumCoin is carefully moderated every day. Even though I no longer have time to be a fulltime active moderator, I usually have pm exchanges on site issues with Fergal almost every day. Netherrealmer is online checking the site several times a day. CyberFreak is that hidden member that always shows up in the home page: "In total there were xx users online recently :: "xx registered and 1 hidden". That 1 hidden is almost always there. Fergal checks in each morning to do his research.

ForumCoin is moderated. You just don't see it.

We have the ability to do that but it can be annoying to users and is not always effective. Users know about it so make some good posts and then think they are then free to post whatever they want. Good new users then get put off waiting for posts to be approved and then leave.

We do have some posts from new users get automatically sent to the moderation queue if the posts are detected as spam or malicious but obviously can’t pick up everything but it doesn’t annoy new good users.

We are quite often online and checking and do tend to catch things quickly especially when reported by users. I may rarely post now but I am still around and read a fair amount of posts even if I rarely post or contribute with posting messages. Fergal is online daily and Netherrealmer is on throughout the day to so we do have people online to keep things in order and apart from some users making a bit of a mess, we have never had anything extreme happen although we have other options if that changes
