Annoying Ads

Postby JASPREET » 20 Mar 2019, 09:53

Hello friends.

Just today, I am facing some difficulties while submitting a comment. Whenever I am about to start writing a comment, I see some thing stopping me like it's a bug or something and am seeing a video popping up below which is trying to load but it's keep on loading and unable to play.

What are these annoying Ads which are affecting our posting experinece?

I had similar issue 10 minutes ago, when I wanted to publish a new thread, but when I refreshed the page, I could post it without any issues. Very weird to be honest, as I have never experienced anything like that on this site.

You both must have clicked at the arrow that takes you to the advert. If you click carefully and click at submit button it will never happen.

I have a feeling suny's right. It's never happened to me here but certainly elsewhere. It wasn't until much later that I realised I was pressing the wrong submit button... oops!

Which ads? I am not seeing any ads but the promotion ads only which are not annoying and necessary for the website.

How exactly is it affecting you posting? From what I can see, it is a video below the text box and submit button that does not cover the box or submit button and also not popping up either. It seems to be showing in the same place normal banner ads show so it is like a banner ad but just a bit taller and not as wide and a video instead of a static or animated banner. Whether the video loads or not should not be an issue for you.

In what way affecting you? You can't type? Can't click to type Can't see what you are typing?

I am not too sure where the ads are coming from anyway. In that position we only show Adsense but to my knowledge, we don't show adsense in the BMW forum so there is no ad coded to show in that position in that forum. Looks like it might be infolinks but not sure why they are putting an ad there specifically.

Definitely an infolinks ad. The only two issues that I've had with it are: very slow loading and poor fill options for NZ.

Not preventing replying or anything.
