When I try to open my post, this page steals the screen (or 'my browser automatically goes to it instead of the discussion there).

Please tell me that's something you allowed in there (and will quickly DISallow!) and not something that I accidentally put into my signature-or-something.

I'm thinking you have a malware issue? I haven't experienced any of these issues on ForumCoin and I believe the non-text-link Infolinks ads were removed by @Fergal?

Have you run an Anti-Virus recently? And have you only been experiencing these popups or redirects on ForumCoin?

What browser and OS do you use and do you have a firewall?

Yeah, probably just something briefly on my computer. I 'CClean' (the tool you download from this site is "CCleaner") it regularly, so I think I've got it (no 'frame-stealing' on THIS post (yet).

It could be... but unlikely. What you are talking about is XSS (cross site scripting) which is a form of attack by getting a browser to run malicious javascript. ForumCoin uses phpBB and while there there have been vulnerabilities discovered, the overall track record is very solid. They've even had external audits of their code. If any other members are seeing this same behaviour, then that becomes more concerning...

I recommend something simple like http://www.clamwin.com/, which is totally open source. Or... there are a host of other free AntiVirus protection software out there, from commercial providers, too: AVG, Comodo, Kaspersky....

I primarily just use Windows Defender now but I have used ClamWin and ClamAV on my computer and with cPanel. They're about the only decent open source anti virus solutions. They aren't perfect at detection but very resource light (which is why I used it on lower spec machines in the past).

But - if you do have the CPU and Ram, then other solutions are likely to be better.

I'm not getting it now (and wasn't getting it anywhere but a couple of my discussions)

I'm using Windows Vista, which Microsoft seems to have disowned like an inbred cousin; so I don't even feel like TRYING Windows Defender
