I've so-far only seen this on one 'discussion' here (so I don't yet plan to change my AdGuard AdBlocker settings), but ...


On that discussion, I was "bombarded" with ads---I saw the name "Counterflix," but 'Counterflix' might have nothing-to-do-with the constant, unrelated POP-UPS that interrupted EVERY-OTHER-CLICK I clicked


I know I should keep my AdGuard AdBlocker settings 'the way they are now' (with "forumcoin.com" on the white-list to let it display whatever ads they add), because "the ads they show us" are 'where the money (for our exchange-rewards) comes-from.'

Maybe--if the pop-ups get bothersome--I can add 'their address' to the blacklist (that intercepts the pop-ups before my computer can open them ... maybe).

Or I can just do more forum-posting on myLot

@friendociate, noticed this too, but my problem appears not to be as severe as yours (for now). I've just had some hyperlinks for ads taking the place of other links/words of ForumCoin which annoys me as I can't click on some items that are linked or see hyperlinks that shouldn't be there. I'd encourage you to wait and see if the problem gets worse (maybe an issue with ad placement/ad network?). If not, you should contact one of the admins through DM.

Ideally we never want people to block our ads but equally we need to make revenue. Finding a balance between making money to run this site and annoying users is usually hard to strike. That said, if you are unhappy about the ads, sending us a screenshot will help so we can see exactly how it is affecting you, will help Fergal tweak things.
