Hello everyone I have a suggestion, perhaps this section of the forums could be moved to the top? That way if members have issues with something or have other suggestions it'll be easier for them to find. Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the suggestion TheRaven. I've noticed that most forum owners do put this their announcements and feedback sections at the top of the index. I've generally put it closer to the bottom so that the content that members use most often is near the top.

However, I'd welcome the views of other members on your suggestion.

I personally have always put the announcements, member introductions and feedback sections at the top. I don't know why but that is just how I did it in my first forum and have continued to do so.

I normally put it up at the top also but I like it at the bottom to if I'm honest.

I also put announcements and stuff at the top too, but honestly it doesn't bother me either way.

It's just personal choices. I don't think it does matter if it's at top or bottom.

I personally have them at the top as well. I like to have my announcements be the first thing users see.
However I have seen plenty of forums put them at the bottom and allow the users see what they came to see first.

I have no problem visiting forums that do this. Honestly, it is up to the forum owner on how his forum is set up xD
It is all about preference. It is still good either way.

We've added a link to our "About" page to the nav bar of our new theme. Hopefully that will help clarify things for first time visitors. We also plan on adding a text description of what the site is about and how to use to the header of every page. This description will only be viewable by guests and it will give them a good overview of the site. For that reason we will leave the Announcements sections towards the bottom for the moment. However, if we feel that there is some confusion in the future, we will be happy to move it up to the top.
