Activity in some discussions runs into several pages and as for me I cannot remember whether I have already posted there.
Is there a quick way to find out whether one has already posted in a discussion?

I also have the same problem and I also find myself repeating a post in a forum. I would also like to know if there is a quick way to know that I have already posted there.

The quickest way I know of is to click on My Posts at the top of the page. A list of topics will pop up and there's a search box that says search these results. In that box put the title of the conversation and it will narrow down to your comment (if you've already commented). The topic will not be in that list if you didn't comment.

The fastest way to see if you have already participated in any discussion is to use the sort order system provided on every topic.

Go to the last entry on any page and look at the line directly under that last post:

Display posts from previous: [All posts] Sort by [post time] [ascending] [Go]

Click on post time and you will see an option "author"

By choosing this sort order option and then clicking on "go", you will find all posts sorted by Author name in alphabetical order. Follow the pages until you find all your previous posts, if any, in a single collection.
