I was active on another forum for many years and was a active moderator for the last three years there. Over the life of the site, many contributors posted content in their own native language, but since the forum was primarily English, most members had no idea what was being said. Those posts were just mixed in with the rest of the content.
In my final year as a moderator, I added sections to accommodate each of the languages as I could identify them and began moving them so they were each in their own sections. I spent months going through the foreign content, using Google Translation to identify each post, and to make certain the content was Google Friendly, since vulgar content and illegal topics could cost the site their online standing.
I lost count of how many hundreds of posts had to be removed. Some were solicitations for sex or drugs, some were just vile and nasty, but no one knew what was there without that tremendous effort to moderate the content.
In order to add any section to accommodate a specific language, there would have to be a moderator who is fluent in that language to keep a check on illegal content and get it removed. There is no funding available to pay such moderators, so it would require volunteers that the site owners could trust and rely on. That is a very tall order. We could not keep up the the variety, and unacceptable content posted on the site (as determined by Google) was a significant part of the reasons the entire site got closed down.
The online reputations of sites like this are all subject to the content posted by members. Even this site already has hundreds of banned members. What if they had posted their banned content in a language the moderators could not identify?
Those are my reasons to strongly advise against adding such a section to a site like this. If you want a forum in your own language, you should create your own site, moderate it yourself and promote it to your own countrymen.
