Just A Suggestion

Postby kahl39 » 24 Oct 2017, 18:16

I think it would be a great help especially for writers, if there's edit button in every post that we do.

Well, it is only a suggestion cos you know sometimes there are glitches we as humans cannot really control of and we just suddenly click the submit button most of the time being confident we are already done. At times. we do find our mistakes at a later circumstance. Like right now I am already confident I have perfectly done everything. But I am pretty sure later I would see some mistakes my being sober can't even help.

Thanks for the suggestion kahl39, you can edit your posts in other forum sections, just not in the Articles section. We may however change that at some time in the future and start allowing editing in that section again.

Thanks again.

Personally, I'm not one among the writers here but I feel that OP has a valid point. Humans can't avoid mistakes, and article writers here are not an exception, so it would be nice for that button to be available for them.

If they make mistakes even after proof reading and editing, let them still have the opportunity to edit it after posting, atleast for the sake of quality and readers who find forumcoin articles helpful.

Note: I'm not saying the quality of FC articles are bad.

It's easy to overlook mistakes because we often see what we mean to say rather than what we actually write. I sometimes read over my posts weeks later and find mistakes that I didn't notice at the time.

I don't write articles but if I did it would drive me mad to see a mistake that I couldn't correct :o

I had that issue in one of my articles. I solved it by contacting @Fergal and he did those changes for me but you are right. We must have that edit option

What you told that is write . Sometimes they even don't listen about it . The problem is in web browser or auto correction method .. so I think and hope they will short it out very soon

The reason it is why it is the way it is is to prevent people receiving the payment for an article and then editing the post to remove the article and leaving an empty post and then reposting the article elsewhere as unique a few months later once it is removed from search engine indexes etc and potentially doing the same again. Or if we annoy a user by giving them a warning, they could retaliate and edit all their articles that we have already paid them for. While this hasn't happened with articles, both me and Fergal have seen many users over our years of running forums together who became unhappy with something and edited all their posts one by one removing the content. This could easily happen with articles. As we pay alot of money for articles, we don't want them to silently disappear.

For the moment until we find an effective way around it, you just need to send a quick PM to either Me or Fergal or a moderator or "report" the post and in the reason box say what you need changing and the first one of us online will alter it.

Those are points I hadn't thought of but since you, Fergal or a moderator are happy to carry out any changes (within reason) it isn't really a problem. :)

That is a great idea since everybody now can instantly make a withdrawals due to a very low cash out threshold.

Every time, I used to post a new article, I used to wonder why we do not have an "edit" option. Yet now I see that this is a valid thing to do, as folks can misuse this.
Yet I wonder why they are not following the rules. If they follow the rules, things would be so better!
