Well the benefits of it can be lower fees (hopefully more so in the near future), more anonymous, can be used to hold onto with the hope of that Bitcoin going up in value and ending up being worth alot more than the value it was when you received it and there are other personal reasons people may opt for it. However saying that, it is not really something you should get involved in just to get payments from here. It can be complicated to understand and if you don't really understand how it works, you may lose access to your BTC or send it paying a massive OTT fee or with a really low fee causing it to never confirm or take days to confirm.raaman wrote:I find everyone on this thread is deviating from the subject matter. The above reasons apart, if the advantages and disadvantages of bitcoin (in both having it and using it) could be listed out, we can know which outweighs which and thus it would be a great help to ordinary people, especially those who may be new to the great weird online world.
