How come some of my fellow FCers have location statistics beside their respective usernames whereas others do not have this feature?

Hmm I've casually wondered about that! I wonder if it's because they haven't fully completed their profiles? Some people don't want to put everything about themselves out there, and will leave out some of the information required to fill their profiles.

I think you can setup your location in user control panel. I have in mind to full complete my Fc profile when I find some time to do this.

That's correct, anyone who wants to add their location can do so by visiting the User Control Panel,then clicking on the Profile tab and adding your location in the location field. Obviously it's optional and there is no pressure to add it. You can also be as vague as you like, e.g. just adding your country or even the continent you live in.
