I know not everyone wants to read, but at least skim before replying so you know what you're saying. And sometimes people will post a question and after I reply to it, they never read it. Then a page or two later, they will ask the same question again. It's quite upsetting when I take the time to reply and answer a question, only to be ignored.

Like the people who keep asking how to earn online and what you gave them advice, they will continue asking. That triggered the banning of one member who is given a second chance.

Reading the discussion and the comments? That's the whole reason why I come here. I really enjoy it too! Sometimes the thread are so long that I even check to make sure that I haven't already left a comment and I'm just repeating myself. I don't know if members realize that "Sort" function at the bottom of the thread lets you sort by author and that way you can find the comments you made on that particular thread.

I think your suggestion is good. I think there should be a button where the author and the moderator can close a particular thread, especially old ones so newbies won't reply with a repetitive answer.

I decided to lock 2 of the most popular threads in BMF and have people make a new version of them. To make some changes. People can still discuss their favorite thread in the new version. I believe this will make a difference to Newbies if they see two new threads having good activity.

There is now a New version of Mylot thread and I kinda want someone to make a new version of the Beer money thread. I promise it will make a difference. In my old forums, a popular thread gets locked and have a new version after 2 years. To keep page one fresh. Also newbies are discouraged to read hundreds of pages, so a New version of the 2 most popular threads will make them read more.

May be some folks become more careful, and they could start reading posts carefully before replying.

I remember once urging someone to go through the threads to familiarise themselves with the various lines of discussion and got my head bitten by their self-appointed 'agent', who basically said there's just too much to read through   But that's exactly what we should be doing, READING and scouring the threads for answers before asking the same tired questions over and over. Of course, sometimes when a thread is a massive 100+ pages, it's easy to miss the answer but we all have to show willing. Just as a tip; if a thread is too big to go through, I sometimes choose random pages to through or just use the search facility to locate what I'm looking for quicker.

Noted but I am not seeing improvements with your post. By any chance are you from Mylot? Your comment dont need to be an essay but it must be relevant to the topic. I hate giving neg but people are asking for it. I made this thread so I wont need to give out negs.

It is very necessary to read topic before going down to comment, we are only advised to comment positively to a post.

I was never aware of the fact that people are doing such a thing in this forum. I always read the entire thread properly before making a comment. It would seem strange not to get the main issue addressed if people continuously ignore the message in the thread. I always use bold letters to emphasize the text in my threads. This way I make sure I catch the attention of the readers. :D

Meaningless and irrelevant comments never help- be it on Forumcoin or elsewhere.
I hope that people read this post and follow what you are trying to say.

That's very correct, one have to read carefully before commenting, and it must be positive also. Not commenting irrelevant comments that won't add values to a said thread. Also if one doesn't understand what the thread is talking about, its very free to move on, instead of going out of point.

Yes at least get a basic idea of what someone wants to say and then respond accordingly.

I don't know why some Newbies s must have approval before the can post while others can go have a violation spree the moment they registered.

Sometimes a site will reopen though. ChatBanter stopped paying under new ownership but now it is paying again but the topic has been locked. However, as it is part of the Forum Wheel I guess it can be discussed there if anyone wants to.

I notice I can see how many times I have posted in a topic at the top of the page. Is that a new feature or have I just not noticed it before? I welcome that because sometimes I can't remember how many times I have posted on a thread and don't want to keep repeating myself.

Yes, it's new. Fergal introduced it in another thread. The feature was suggested by Bestwriter and implemented by CyberFreak. See here:
