Paypal charge on Forumcoin redemption

Postby ceci » 19 Oct 2016, 01:00

I just made my first redemption at Forumcoin, 500FC to Paypal USD5.
I have received my payment within 24 hours, thanks for the Admin, Fergal.
However, I found that the Paypal charge is very high at $0.52, more than 10%.
The net I received is :$4.48 only.

Just checking that does the Paypal charge vary from countries?

How much you receive in net normally? How to save the cost? Please share your experience and advice. TQVM!

Actually PayPal charges basically from every transaction. It is the same for all countries barring a few privileged ones. In our case it is the same, they charge minimum .050 as service + conversion charges. If I ask for $100 my net return is $93.

Yes. It's the same for me as @suny. It's quite a loss if ine is cashing out very small amounts as net amount earned may be negligible.

Yeah, it's quite bad. Here in Romania I got charged with 0.52 as well but what can you do, PayPal has to make money as well.

I've cashed out several times. I've received my full $5 at times. At other times, I've received $4.5.

Yes, I get charged as well and I believe it was .65 when I cashed out my $10 dollars. Many other sites I am on, don't have this charge at all. However, like @FuZzyOn said, you use their service, you have to pay something. They have to make money to keep the site running too. We can't expect everything handed to us for FREE all the time. When was the last time you do a service for someone else for FREE?

Like sunny and decentlady my answer is also same, Paypal deduct same for all countries, But I thinking it start charging from last year because before last year. I got my payment without deduction through paypal. But I think its fair enough if they charged for their service.

I got always in my PayPal account only $4.50 from ForumCoin, and I thought it is same for everyone. Now when I've read here the previous comments, I think that PayPal fees charges depend on country.

I always get the 0.52 cents of deduction for every withdrawal be it from forumcoin. Or say mylot. So that much amount is gong to be part of the fee. I think asians have pretty much same charges. But the EU and other zones may have different.

I'm sure it's restrictive, but I called PayPal and had one of my accounts set up for Micro-Payments for lower transaction amounts and the last payment I got from Forum Coin was only charged a 15 cent fee for a $5 payment.

Is your paypal personal or business account?
I wonder why there are sites that can pay fully, if they are applying any different accounts as well?

I know the charge for my country is 4.4% + USD$0.30. This might varies for different country. Now I wait for bigger amount to redeem, since FC is a trusted site. Hope this is okay for Fergal :)

I also wait until I have enough for $10 to cash out since there's going to be a fee anyway. It's still worth doing! I don't think the fee is necessarily smaller if I get a bigger cashout, but it seems to bother me less.

For a while, ForumCoin was eating the costs of the PayPal fee themselves, but really, who can continue to do business that way and survive?

So those that we get full amount are the sites absorb the fee for the members? I thought it might be some special deals between the sites and paypal. Yes, it's quite burdening for FC if Fergal has to do so. That's a lot!

Most sites do charge a fee and some sites like Neobux and Clixsense show you how much the fee is for the payment and they deduct the fee and then send the payment via PayPal without any further fees. There will normally always be a fee although the way it is covered or applied does vary between sites.

I usually wait until I have $10 to withdrawal, and paypal always charge a fee. Last time I received $5 but in my paypal I only got $4.50, a little bit high fee I think, but I also understand that it is a service that we have to pay.

One benefit to bitcoin is the fee is lower than transfers by banks, wires payments, and other means including paypal for the most part.

I always received $4.48 sometimes $4.47 whenever Fergal give my redemption. Its Paypal that charges their customer. Actually most of my sites I always received a charge coming from Paypal, except Rabadaba.

Yes.. Many sites charges fees. So no problem.

But I wonder how some sites can bare those fees. I mean I have recent full payment from Spare and Grabpoints. I wonder how they are managing or what is the catch?
