Great video!!!  I agree that the educational system should allow for different ways of solving problems and to teach people to be creative when coming up with solutions. People learn differently and think differently. We need more thinking outside the box.

Maybe you could supply a straight text presentation. Trying to watch the video and read the subtitles at the same time is too distracting for me.

Working on a New Side-Hustle

Since age is no longer creeping up on me, but rushing in like an NFL ball carrier on 4th down from the 1 yard line. it's very simple.

Yes, you are right! We are trained to think only in one way. Everything that is out side of the box is, often, not accepted :(

Ahaha! I understand you :) People who has english as native language are not used do read subtitles... isn't it? Here in Portugal is very common. But I understand that this kind of videos are more difficult to follow with subtitles...

It's as my english teacher said about presentations. People will either read your powerpoint or listen to your presentation, but never both.

Great video, very good explanation. Most people don't know what lateral thinking is, it is "just" the ability to think creativily or "outside the box" using the inspiration and imagination to solve problems by looking at them from unexpected perspectives.
More videos like this one are needed!

Our brain can't process everything at the same time, so we won't pay attention at everything...
You can make an exercise with a friend: go take a walk together and live the same experience. At the end of the day talk about you remember most. Everyone remembers differents things and see them differently from others... like pictures... you and your friend can take pictures at the same thing, but they are always different... they reflect your vision!

Your videos are really amazing, Allius. I love the drawings that go along with the narration. :) Although it is a bit hard to read the subtitles and pay attention to the drawings, that's not a big deal. Maybe we should all learn Portuguese so that we can follow along more easily. XD

Yes, I agree with you! That's not easy to follow with subtitles...

Perhaps some day (when I improve my english and have a better accent) I will create videos in english? ;)
