Pop Is my new intro good?

Postby juststeven » 07 May 2016, 18:29

This is the intro I created from scratch in Sony Vegas for all channels in the small network of channels I am creating and running. I'd like to know what everyone thinks of it. :)

Since you asked, I will be blunt. It did not impress me and I think you would be better without one. It doesn't have any point and lacks a transition to the video to follow. I think an intro should somehow introduce the material I am about to see, if nothing else to let viewers know who the author or group are or what they represent.

Since age is no longer creeping up on me, but rushing in like an NFL ball carrier on 4th down from the 1 yard line. it's very simple.

It could be better if you could post a full video, then we'll be able to answer your question better, only this wasn't much interesting I'd say. Wasn't transitions as oldbuddy pointed out.

You have tried to introduce yourself in a novel way . This effort is good . But a simple introduction like your name, your hobbies, place of staying, and occupation is more than enough.

Honestly I like the intro, nice short, simple and sweet. It is just like how a lot of other Youtubers introduce their videos. I feel like some of the replies to this topic, don't really know that that intro you made is not to tell you about the video, but just to tell you that it's your channel that they are watching.

I liked the intro, specially the music. However, seeing only the intro I really don't know if that intro will work with the videos you are doing... Perhaps someday you could share with us the entire videos :)

Thanks to everyone who replied with their feedback. It will transition with a simple fade to black with the sound slowly dipping out into the intro for the respective channel the intro is on.

As Scouten said, this is not an introduction to explain what the video is about. A YouTube 'intro' is simply to represent the presence of the brand or channel. In this case, it is to show to the viewers that the channel is in the Citrus Media network of channels and serve as an advertisement tool for the network without been too intrusive on the overall quality of the video.

Thank you! :3

If anybody has some good creative ideas for vlogs that'd be great.

Not very creative, but a Vlog about online earning should work both ends against the middle. If you share what works for you and it creates traffic, then you might even get a few referrals out of it. If the traffic goes high enough, you could generate some ad money from YouTube too.

Sorry I should have made it clear earlier, I'm aiming to be a YouTube vlogger who earns directly from their YouTube audience. My audience is mainly a teen audience so I'm looking to appeal to teenagers. :)

I would add a little more to it. I think maybe 20 seconds would be good for an intro. Add a little more pop to it as well.

There'll be another intro that will follow it which is 10 seconds for my personal channel adding to 15 seconds and then a short message from me like 'Hi!' and then a brief run-through of what the content of the video will be. Thanks for the feedback though!

WOW, by the time you get all that in, I would be headed for the little red X.

Well there's 15 seconds of intro and then it goes into the video.
