Must Read > ForumCoin Rates Updated

Postby Fergal » 19 Oct 2015, 18:29

I'm sorry but the time has come again to change our payment rates and you can view the new rates in our FAQs. As we have said before, we would love to be increasing the rates, however we can't do that until we increase the revenue we earn from the forum.

Also please note that we will very soon be reducing the max number of posts you can get paid for per day to 10 per day.

Once again I really am sorry for this, but it is a necessary step in order to maintain the site.

We sincerely hope that you will continue to support our community and thank you for your participation so far!

In honesty to the forum, i think your doing a great job maintaining this and i think from 17 to 10 posts a day, it would just encourage more quality posts than quantity.. (hopefully) :D

I'm fine with whatever it takes to keep the forum viable and make money for you. I don't pay any attention to the number of posts I have now, so lowering the number that earn payment is not going to change what I do. I'm here to contribute and help all I can and the money is just a bonus. Keep up the good work!

I am fine with it, I really like this site, and would like it , to be around a long time, not a problem. The people that are not here just for money will surely stick around.

How long has this site been here? Is it possible that it won't survive? I do enjoy the time but I would hate to put in the work and not see a payout in the end.

I'm fine with it too. I would rather the rates were reduced and the site stayed and I will easily make 10 posts a day whereas some days 17 was a struggle.

The site has been here since 2013 as far as I can see. If you check the members page you can see the very first people who joined. I don't think Fergal would just disappear without letting us know. He always informs us of any changes.

leeannl thanks for your questions, as sprite1950 said we have been online since 2013 over two years now and you can see how reliable we have been at paying by having a look at our payment confirmations topic.

Ah, no problem. I think decreasing the amount of posts we can make to get coins will actually help the forum get rid of spam posts.

Since i've talked about it before..
Is there any way that we can limit the reputation that we can give per day? but also enable the ability that if we get a positive reputation, we get 1 forum coin? or something like that? i think it would maybe increase the quality of posts... but if you see abuse of it, you can always shut it down :D

Thanks for the transparency on the rates and for communicating changes to us. It is good that you have controls in place to ensure the goal of staying up and running. Other sites have crumbled and fallen. Some of us are because we enjoy the forum and interacting. Some will leave but that is fine because people come and people go. That is the nature of the business. We are also here because forum coins are valuable. In some ways they have gotten even more valuable because they are harder to earn. :)

As long as you don't limit the number of posts we can make for free. I pass my 10 posts very quickly and still have things to say, so don't stop me from having fun and enjoying my friends on here.

Phew....I noticed the change last night and thought it applied only to me LOL!

On a serious note, thanks so much for the update, @Fergal :) It's very refreshing to have an admin team who are open and proactive in keeping its members abreast of all new developments. I'm fairly new to ForumCoin, but love it here. So like the other posters before me, I'm fully onboard and will certainly stay on to help the site go forward and ensure it grows and becomes better. You guys know what's best for it :)

Why not open a new Discussion in the Board Index that would make Google Algorithm fall in love with Forumcoin?

I love this forum and would hate to see it succumb into the void.
