Received cheque from RTI

Postby ksridharprasad » 19 Mar 2016, 01:29

Hi friends,

I'm happy to say that I have. Received a Welsfargo cheque for $ 40.00 US dollars for participation in survey conducted via Mint vine site. But now it is problem to me to cash out the above mentioned cheque, because I do not have any bank account in US, to deposit it for collection.

Congratulations on getting the check, but I am sorry that you are going to have trouble cashing it. Is there no way a bank would cash it? I do not know about cashing a check in another country so I really do not know how to help you.

You should have opted for the person's name you are staying with in US while registering. That is the only way for persons on visitors' visa. Now there is no way you will get the benefit of your labor.

That's really sad.If you cannot cash out the check, there is not point in receiving checks. perhaps you can send the check to someone you know in the US. or use the check to buy something.

Hi Friends,

First time I have received the payment in the form of cheque and I too does not know the RTI send the amount in the form of cheque. They have not asked me about the option of payment just like that I have received one more cheque from Inboxdollars site. That Inbox dollars cheque was posted to my Indian adress directly. I will find a suitable way to cashout my RTI cheque if possible, if not I have to deposit it after returning to India.

Oh no! I feel for you! It is like a child having a candy but can't eat it! Argh! Is there a way for you to go to a bank's branch and receive it in cash?

But, the MintVine has the PayPal, right? Why would you check out with the paper bill? Did you think it will be faster?

Hi RapidBlue,

The survey from Mint Vine but the researcher RTI took phone survey and they released the cheque for taking phone survey. RTI paid in the form of cheque for $40.00 US dollars that is the problem to cash the cheque.

Do you need to have a bank account in the US? But do they send you the check to India? If you live in the US, just try to go to the bank and ask if you can receive the money?
This is a weird situation ...
