I don't like betting as well because the risk is very high and you can lose a lot.

Thanks guys! The min bet on that site is $1.30 or something like that. Things to watch for when choosing betting sites is how much they tax your earnings, and other hidden fees. Luckily pinnacle doesn't have a winnings tax.

My SO has pretty good knowledge on sports and has been quite consistent in his predictions, so I his judgements.
Good rule of thumb is to not bet more than you would be ok about losing. I would consider my bets to be quite small ($5-$30)
That being said, basketball is really quite hard to bet on. Boxing is a lot easier in comparison, especially for moneyline.

I only know enough to bet on basketball and boxing. But apparently baseball is easy to bet on. Shame that I don't know anything about it.
I wish I got into it before the pacquiao mayweather fight. Would have made some money there.

Not outright. I trade certain markets.

Sports betting? This is very new to me. How much is the minimum deposit here? Well, the risk is high in here, we can't be sure to win or lose.

It's a $50 deposit to start at pinnacle. Other sites I believe have a lower minimum.

Yes sports betting is gambling. Although there are ways to bet with no risk. It involves betting on different books on opposing sides so that you can either have a gauranteed profit or chance to break even or profit.

I haven't quite looked into it yet but that's the basic idea. :)

Yes. You are right. Any thing which is related to betting is gambling only.

Yeah - matched betting isn't really gambling as the money is guaranteed providing you understand what you're doing.

I bet pretty much daily on esports and sometimes on NBA. Started a betting thread on general section some time ago: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2136

I started with pinnacle but didn't like it much and moved to egamingbets (esports bets only) adn I also use bet-at-home.com but it's not great either but I joined since a friend gave me a $5 voucher. I already made $50 out of it...

Not everything - matched betting is pretty much guaranteed to win if you don't muck up the sums. Sports trading, treating the markets as financial markets, can also routinely make you money. I've turned £20 into £1500 over many small trades.

Similarly, going to university is a gamble these days. Sure you might train as a barrister but you could end up after 3 years working as a barista. :D

Oh I apologize, I have forgotten about your post since. I think I actually replied to that one
I have more than doubled my initial deposit since :D :D Although I have to say I'm more risky than you.

I am currently looking for an easy way to bet on multiple books at once. Any ideas?

Good job. I have made about 32x what my initial deposit was but you'll probably make money faster since I'm betting low. My largest bet ever was $70

Problem with sports trading is you also need to bet on the other side so you need at least £1k (£500+£500) to back and lay otherwise it is not a trade but a bet!
