For the first time in internet history, automated bot traffic has officially overtaken human-generated traffic online.

Fresh metrics released by Cloudflare reveal that automated systems now generate roughly 57.4% of all web requests, while humans account for 42.5%. Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince admitted that the shift occurred much faster than his initial 2027 forecast.

Experts attribute this rapid transition to the explosive growth of "agentic AI"—autonomous AI agents that scrape data, research products, and compare prices across thousands of sites simultaneously.
