Well, I guess it's not just for phones. There are good sales on other devices as well. Still, some of the deals for phones are pretty nice.

Walmart and others are giving away gift cards when you get a new phone. Some are pretty good chunks of change too. Just make sure you read up on all the details before deciding.

The best part is that our package is even cheaper when we sign up at WM plus we get a gift card. They made it worth waiting in line to schedule an appointment and then come back to get signed up.

Black Friday is a the day after Thanksgiving in US and it is the biggest shopping day of the year. Stores have huge markdowns on popular items for Christmas such as electronics and a whole lot more. Although anymore, it isn't limited to that Friday. Many of the stores start on that Thursday evening and I know of at least one store that is doing it all week. The following Monday is now known as Cyber Monday and it is the day where you can find many more deals online.

Yes, and I really don't like that. I want to do Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving, and now it's shopping and celebrating a different day. Some deals are just too good to ignore.

Retailers have gotten very greedy and have taken over Thanksgiving so it isn't what it was supposed to be about. Now families go shopping instead of spending the day with each other. Dinners are rushed so they can be the first in line at the stores that do special deals that night. I have to admit I did that one year because the toy store had some really good deals on things I wanted to get my kids. But I don't get into all the hype anymore. It is just too crazy especially when people take it too far and bad things happen at the stores. I would rather do my shopping online these days anyway.
