What tech stuff would you like to see before you die?

Postby KyushuKris » 16 Apr 2019, 14:55

I'd love to be able to take a ride in a flying car, speak to anyone from anywhere through instant translating computers, or take a VR tour of a country I'll never have the chance to visit, how about you?

I would like to see robots that can speak with us like other person. Robots that are just like us (that we have difficult to distinguish them from a human being). Robots who would think by themselves and learn by them selfes.
I think we are not far from it...

I would like to see people being transported to another place far away with a beam of light, something which looks science fiction as of now.

Yes it won't be too far off, though widespread usage would take time.

A machine that can print food like paper tickets, in fact it is called a "replicator" in SF. That would be really cool. :mrgreen:

I would love to see this tech realized before I kick the bucket. I would love to VR touring the exclusive Monte Carlo or walk the streets of Tokyo 8-) In the meantime, I'm quite happy with a VR walking tour channel called Prowalks;

I do love to see it. It's use may be restricted because people can use it for crime, moreover it may not be able to travel long distance or else it will be a competitor for Airlines.

Oh dear friend trust me you don't want to see that day coming, scientists already are able to download your brain info into a computer, when they start to apply that to AI humankind is doom. Steven Hawking adverted about it, the creation of a superhuman (cyborg), you can not compete with them, humans will slowly be removed and we will have a manipulated society (which we already have) but much more powerful. Trust me and pray for that day not to come...

I would like to see the technology that can make a blind person see and a lame or paralyzed person walk. <3

I think we have these techs already; eSight for the blinds. As for paralysis, there's spinal cord stimulation along with robotic and VR tech to help paralyzed patients.

I think so too, I don't want to see the day they overtake us. We are not there yet but we aren't far away. What if they live up to the fears of Stephen Hawking , Elon Musk and some others who have openly warned mankind.

Yeah. I thought that we had it. But I have never seen it. I would like to see it before I die. <3

I want to see Artificial intelligent robots helping people in their daily lives, and I would want to see flying cars or something like that. Oh, and also in future I really wish there would be successful treatments for all life threatening illnesses.

Well, even though far fetched, I would see us getting transposed by (perhaps a beam of light) to another place. yet I think would it need a bit-by-bit disassembling and assembling of us? Or may be it would start happening when humanoid robots outnumber normal human beings.
