A lot of subscribers of him are teenage girls who thought he is handsome base from his voice. Once he revealed his face, #heisugly trended on twitter. People made memes talking about how ugly he is. There are some fans who gave him support after experiencing such a negative backlash.

People who are saying he is ugly are nuts. He has a perfectly normal face. If you saw him in a crowd, you would not be likely to say "Ew! He's ugly!" at all. Back when you used your own face as your avatar/icon it was the same thing. You are nuts for thinking you are ugly. What is it about people who even think like that? People are people and every face is different. Even people with facial deformities are not really ugly. They just may be a bit more difficult to look at if the deformity is exceptionally unusual.

The personality behind the mask is what you need to pay attention to. There are many demons with very pretty faces. Those are the truly ugly ones, and it is the personality, not the face after all.

Fans are badd people. They only follow handsome or pretty youtubers. Same with aingers. Very long time ago, a taiwan singer hid behind a mask, ,he had a great vocal. But once he revealed his face, his fans dropped and he was kickedd out of showbiz for good

These days people expect all youtubers/vloggers on the internet to be handsome/beautiful people. When in fact, one of the selling points of being a youtuber/vlogger, is to show people interesting aspects of a normal, everyday person life. Kind of a double standard here.

i hate to say it but Pewdie and mark do not have very good looking faces lol
they are probably more accepted because they showed their face from the start...

I would have expected a Minecraft player to be much uglier.
I don't know why he holds his face 3/4 for the whole length of the video; that pose makes the chin and cheekbones stick out and makes him look kind of like the troll face. Yet, I think he's still slightly above average.

Probably his fans had high expectations about how it looked because he has a nice/sexy voice, but the fact that he decided to hide his face for so long was surely for a reason, either because he wanted to remain anonymous or because of his appearance. Many fans were certainly disappointed because, in fact, he is not a very handsome man, but that does not justify bullying.
