The Trump administration is planning to allow AI doctors into main stream American medicine. Will it be a boon or bane for the people of America? And, why?

To be honest I don't trust AI doctors cause they have been programmed to act and react in certain ways. I doubt they will be able to properly function under certain kinds of pressure.

That's true. And, actually what is going to happen, we have to just wait and see.

I'm TERRIFIED! I'll bet Trump won't go to AI doctors for HIS medical treatment. AND WE ALL KNOW HE'S SICK!

P.S. Is there any evil, wicked stuff that Trump isn't planning to do to US? I sometimes wonder if he knows he'll be dying soon so he's trying to make sure to KILL US ALL! Yeah, whatever! I'm not saying it's a FACT. I'm saying I THINK IT. He hasn't given me any reason not to THINK IT! :(

I'll bet his kids and grandkids won't use AI doctors either. But if they do and something goes wrong, they'll blame it on Biden. THEY GET IT FROM THEY DADDY!

Maybe as you @cmoneyspinner say, Trump himself may not go to AI doctor for HIS medical treatment since he has to live long and make America great again and stop wars(after starting it). But, he may make others Genuea Pigs. Anyway, I read this news in yesterday's Times of India.

AI doctors should be more cheaper than real doctors but we can't trust tech so much. Better they start educate more people to be doctors and nurses but Gen Z don't want high stress jobs.

We're not yet advanced enough for AI to be a doctor. Generally, it's useful for getting a general idea, for relatively simple things, or for saving you a doctor's visit and starting the first phase of solving a problem you have. If that phase doesn't solve it, then you absolutely must see a doctor. But this doctor needs to be good, because if you go to a very cheap doctor, there's a good chance that they'll be completely incompetent and do more harm than good. So be careful with the doctors you go to. I recommend that you consult the AI about what the doctor tells you to see if it makes sense or not.

For basic stuff, I think it's fine. It's no different than talking to an online chatbot that collects data on what symptoms you have. AI doctors can do the some of the routine stuff like checking vitals or even giving injections. But for the real stuff, like surgeries or complex diagnoses, it's going to be safer with a human.

Cheap or not, proper diagnosis is more important than anything else.

I AGREE 100%.

To be honest, I don't even trust human doctors in the USA. I know a story about doctors who were intentionally misdiagnosing their patients to keep them coming back. Then, when the patients complained they weren't getting any better, the doctors would switch to the correct diagnosis and start treating them. Isn't that sick?? But it's a true story.

Whether we are advanced enough for AI doctors or not, AI is playing a role in every walk of human life. It is an undeniable fact.

When you privatize heatlh care and turn it into corporation then it is all about money. In Croatia doctors have different version. They give you correct diagonosis but it if you have to go on scan, then you have two options: wait for 6 or 12 months sometimes even longer or go at same docotor in private clinic and pay. In that case you wait for a week max.

That's true, but who knows that they may take the advice/assistance of the AI doctor even in surgeries!

In America, HEALTHCARE IS BIG BUSINESS!

I get especially wary when I see celebrities pushing a drug. I'm not saying they're lying. Maybe the drug works for them. But surely the drug companies know that if a celebrity endorses them, people will likely be persuaded to take the drug. REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH IT COSTS!! And some of those drugs COST A LOT!!

On the plus side, a few places like St. Jude's Hospital will treat you regardless of your ability to pay.
