The Chinese government scientists just declared that they just found a medicine that can extend lives of humans up to 150 years. I don't know if it's going to be expensive or affordable, but probably the elites are going to be the only one who will enjoy this medicine. This medicine will extend your health span and make you have the stamina of a young person and make you live up to 150 years. They first start using this medicine to rats, and they were able to multiply the lifespan of rats multiple times. And from their estimation, as they could make humans live to 150 years, and they won't be, you know, a wrinkly, shaking old man by the time they're 100, probably 100 is about to become the new middle age. Do you think this could be a solution for those new generations who refuse to get married and have babies?

I'm not sure how true this story is, but it would definitely be appealing for a huge number of people. Wouldn't it be great to stay young for a long long time?

Well, it's featured in CNN, Fox News, and BBC, so I guess it has a higher chance of being true because it's reported by all political spectrum.

It would be really nice to stay young for a long period of time, but at the end of the day, this is against nature and in most cases nature often has it's way of correcting any abnormalities.

if we will just go with the law of nature, none of us will live past 35 years old. Everything that makes us live up to 80 years old right now is because of technology. So extending our lifespan is inevitable. If we try to be all-natural, we will all be dead.

But before technology, we had people living longer and healthier lives though, most people even blame the technology to process food and the things we eat now as part of the reasons people die young.

But people from the 2020s live longer than people from the 1950s. I mean, people from ancient Egypt die at age 35. So vaccines, technologies do extend the life of people. That's why less people are having children. Before, people are urgent to have children because, you know, they live shorter, but because people were able to live up to 80 or even 100 now, less people are interested in having children.

You have a solid point there though, but i feel most people do not want to have kids mainly due to the economy.

I mean, Japan, Sweden, and Korea basically have the same problem of people not having children because their lifespans are longer while the cost of living becomes more expensive.

Wow ok, that's crazy I'm not even sure how I feel about it. Then again, if 100 would be like being middle aged, I guess it's not such a wild idea if you want to live that long.

It's weird to me. People are always saying that everything is going downhill and the economy is bad so no one can afford to have kids. Yet, they're continuously looking for ways to extend life. So the world is not great, but they want to live longer so they can... suffer longer?

I have a very shallow reason to desire to exist. I want to experience the next generations of video games, and also, you know, some long-running franchises.Let's see the season 100 of Survivor. Who is the next Doctor Who? Who is the next James Bond? Who is the next Batman? I know it's shallow, but yeah, entertainment is my reason to live.

Yet in some cases, it could be bad for Youth.
Suppose if nobody retires before 100 years, where would be the jobs for youth?
However, medical costs would get reduced.
Yet again, what about the doctors' earnings?

Europe is already old continent and retirement system barely hold. Now there will be even more people who live longer and longer and nobody earn retirement for them.
