What would YOU buy for a Dollar?

Postby friendociate » 14 Jan 2023, 16:00

I know 'what a dollar is worth'; but first, the movie-scene that summarizes centuries of Economics-study ...

That is 'what a dollar is worth'---"whatever people will buy for a dollar!"

How many of my thoughtful, insightful, brief musings will you buy for a dollar? What else would you give up a dollar for?

in Modern times it's just numbers on screen. And working hard is not the way to make money. the way to get rich it to take others peoples money by selling or gaining views for ad revenue. Either way now people can earn online from bed and it's the future of work

Money is more important than food because if you don't have money, you can't buy food. Money is not a piece of paper or a code (in terms of cryptocurrency), it is something that can buy your wants and wishes.

This is sad. Money is a symbol of value. You receive it because (most likely "convinced" by your 'performance' of some task or dramatic reading or writing or other work ... probably 'signing some contract' that says they'll continue to be so-convinced) people GIVE IT TO YOU.

True, 'technology' makes us able-to-perform from anywhere; but the PEOPLE GIVE IT TO YOU fact remains ... writer Napoleon Hill cited it as "the transactional law of the universe"---Quid pro Quo.

Money's everyone's nightmare - those of us who don't have it, crave it. Those who have truckloads of it still chase it, looking to acquire more. There's just NEVER enough!!

I wish people wouldn't regard it as 'this magical thing.' There is a sort of 'magic-trick' aire to most of the ways you get it (you give your employer something 'imaginary' like "time spent doing the tasks they give you," and POOF! it turns into monetary credit!), but it's nothing but 'an I.O.U. (or maybe they don't use that abbreviation enough ... a short way to say "I Owe You")' - or in monetary language 'a Promissory Note.'

According to economics when I was in school, money is defined as "anything that is generally acceptable". That is there is nowhere you get to that money is not a tool for transaction. However, money in any form is used for transaction.

Indeed, Quid pro Quo (I know popular media/politics has made 'that phrase' into "a sign of under-handed, back-room, beneath-the-table dealings," but it's actually "The Law of the Universe!" (Napoleon Hill, Think & Grow Rich))

That's one reason people don't want America's legislators to serve 'too long a tenure in office' (I'm guessing they want to limit it to 6 years), because--since they can spend all the money they want just by 'writing it down' (expecting the American citizens to do the work of EARNING IT & covering the nation's expenses)--after a time they forget that the money is 'a representation of American blood, sweat & tears!'

(I know that's kind of a hypocrisy coming from me, who's currently earning 'up to $50 a month' by just "opening a little connection to my Internet"; but it's one of the ways I HONOR the American blood, sweat & tears that made such prosperity possible!)

I like to say not but what you have stated is the most sad truth. I couldn't agree more.

I don't care how they define it, as long as they keep sending it to me every month and it's enough to trade for what I need.

Money has two sides, for some it is a blessing while for others it is their big enemy and it depends on where they use it, in a good way or bad way.

Money is never enough, it's true. When we earn more, we get used to a more expensive lifestyle, our tastes change and we always need more money to maintain them.

Money is a medium of exchange. You used them to buy things you need. It is true that money cannot buy happiness. But without money, life can be miserable.

I'm a hypocrite here; because I'm asking how much it's worth to you personally, but I'm not saying 'how much it's worth to ME personally.'

What would YOU buy for a dollar?

I would buy 4,354 Satoshi (Based on the current exchange rate) and use that to buy 4 more Active Shares in CryptoWin that would return 112 Satoshi tomorrow and continue to compound that for the next 128 days to produce 5,040 Satoshi Profit I could use to do it again every day.

Maybe, but will GIVE them that for just a dollar?

And--just like 'they say' MOST Asian food works--eating those Satoshi's will leave you hungry a short time later

Maybe in India, but soft-drinks in America cleared the dollar-mark (for 2L anyway) AGES ago!
