Troll farms is mostly associated with countries like China,Russia and the Phillippines. Most of them are paid to revise history and spread fake news. Well Troll farms are now entering the world of Business!

Vince Mcmahon is threatened by AEW as its slowly stealing the audience of WWE so he is now hiring Trolls to Wrestling forums, Social media and Subreddits to pretend as AEW haters. The trolls are hired to make comments like AEW sucks or how Tony Khan is the worst person ever (He is beloved by his employees except from Big Swole) Being the Worst Boss ever is more Associated with Vince by the way. I don't know how these trolls are hired but yeah many Wrestling communities noticed the chaos happening in AEW section of their forums.

Some Businesses now are hiring trolls to destroy their competition. How evil a Business man can be that he is willing to hire trolls to destroy the squeaky clean reputation of his competitor.

Most of the Paid trolls are college students who are taking courses like Marketing and Psychology. They purchase accounts with 100 thousand of followers and replace the content of the page base on the agenda. They also hire telemarketers and BPO employees because of their familiarities with computers.

There are 2 types of paid trolls:

Script writers and Copy pasters.

They dont do comedy, they do mudslinging of clean image politicians and their supporters. Your definition of trolling is more like the Wendy twitter account, the trolls for hire are life ruining goons. Trolls for hires are rude and not funny. Paid trolls gives death threats to people who differs opinions. Your vision of a funny troll is not a thing.

There are honest people in business and there are business people who will anything to make it to the top! The reason they are willing to hire trolls is because they know that their competition won't stoop to such low methods. People should take note of when the troll attacks are "one-sided". If I see a business being trolled like that, I might go and take a closer look at the business. If they are that bad but they re still in business, I would wonder why. But that's just how I think.

I like the comedy trolls, but yes the ones that are super mean are not very nice
