PayPal Fees

Postby Ash » 29 Apr 2019, 15:07

I'm always been slightly confused with PayPal fees when receiving money from a lot of these money making sites. For example, with MicroWorkers, there is a 7.5% (or something like that) fee to receive payments via PayPal. However, no matter how much I request from a site like Grab Points or ZoomBucks, there is no fee and I get the full amount.

Is there a particular reason for this?

Maybe it depends on the agreement with paypal and the site. I also get payment in Mylot with no deduction or paypal fees.

That's because sites like GrabPoints and ZoomBucks cover the PayPal fee. In this case you'll receive 100% of what they sent. It's just like when you're doing PayPal transactions with your friends in another country. You have the option to pay the fee yourself. If you don't select this option your friends will have to pay it. PayPal will just take it automatically from what you sent.

I don't know, I've not observed that. However, I have noticed that Paypal has become very annoying and frustrating. I recently ordered stuff online and they cancelled my order and then after I gave them a tongue lashing, I re-submitted the order only to have them tell me they are doing security checks before letting the transaction through.

That took another 4 days, after which they sent me a customer experience survey. Needless to say, I gave them 0 all the way through  Honestly, I'm not a huge fan at the moment. If there were a real alternative, I'd dump Paypal on the spot.

Websites maintain the PayPal in different ways and website which pays fee for their members or make bulk payments are better so you will receive the complete amount you worked and requested without any fee deduction.

That explains it I guess. It's great that these sites work with PayPal to cover the costs, it would be annoying to get a fee every time I requested small amounts from these survey sites.

That I experienced when I got verified. I was verified in other card I linked but PayPal didn't paid me back from my credit card I first linked for the reason that my address in my old card is different from my PayPal address. I'm just hoping I won't encounter any problem on my payments from my earning sites using PayPal.

Hmm.. I would like to see answers to this question. I have noticed this in my account too.. I wonder what is the X factor that changes the rates. Is it the sites agreement with Paypal or are there other factors involved? I am not sure. Following this thread.. looking for answers.

I also receive some payment from different sites and yes, some have fees while others don't have. Sometimes the site already deducted the fees before sending to PayPal so PayPal won't deduct fees anymore.

From what I know, Postloop doesn't charge any fee so when you withdraw $10 what you get is $10. But in Forum Wheel there is a fee charged for the $10, I think $1.30 or something.

Hivemicro doesn't charge anything you get what you've earned. While others deduct a big amount for paypal charge and I don't know why some deduct and others not deducting.

Even mylot doesn't charge PayPal fee, you receive what you request. It is better to request higher amount so that the fee will be less

Yeah, I think Forum Coin also has a fee deducted from what we receive.

Some sites cover the cost of the PayPal fee and that is the reason we are not charged any fees when receiving payment from these sites. Like Spare5, PayPal fee is covered by this company.

Yes the answer is plain and simple/ The websites which have mass payment agreement or 'fees paid by sender agreement' show full amount in receiver's account minus the exchange rate charged at local level (only the Americans are free probably from exchange fee).

There are other options to request payment which don't attract that much fee. Bitcoins, paired are such options.

How do you send money to your bank from Bitcoin wallets? I Had this option in the past but I am not sure if this facility still exists so I see no option but to use PayPal until I find something better.

I have used bitcoin payment and some of the site that deduct from Paypal don't even deduct in bitcoin. I think using bitcoin as payment avenue is not a bad decision sometimes.
