I want to be clear here ... I probably don't "own" any of the videos I'm going to share here---if anybody 'owns' them, it's probably YouTube; oh, each individual video probably has it's own owners-and/or-licensees-etc. But they share their videos freely (under certain terms) with YouTube, who gives code to control how it's shared. Or not. Don't take 'my word' for it.

But that's what plagiarism is---it's selling 'art (writing, video, painting, etc.) that's created by someone else' as if it is yours to sell (without permission from the creators themselves).

That's why--even though I don't think you think I'm John Green or Kevin Feige or Bill Maher or Stephen Colbert or any of the other 'smarties' whose wisdom I share here--I usually 'cite my sources' when I tell you something that's not my imagination.

And I think that's how most PtP-forums are ... posting 'things they hear about.' If they post 'the exact text they read or heard,' I'm usually not assuming THEY'RE the ones who originated it.

It's also plagiarism if you reword a whole Wikipedia article, or any publication for that matter, and pass it as your own. Plagiarism becomes okay and legal when you a) quote the author (give credit) b) obtain prior permission from the author c) use quote marks around the copied part of the content.

There is one plagiarist I want gone but he gets away with it since he manage to bypass plagiarism checker link searchers due to usage of A.I but I know his post doesn't came from him because it doesn't look like a natural reply.I think copy paste should be disabled to newbies until they reach at least 50 reputation points.

And I want to clarify some things (for you & other readers, for myself): a) the "giving credit"-word you're looking for is 'cite.' b) don't "facts" belong to the public? I mean, you need author's permission to 'copy their prose & poetry' (and maybe their fictional facts); but don't you only need permission if they're secret facts?

I know its plagiarism because I saw how that person originally writes. His "replies" are called out as plagiarism by plagiarism checker but it cannot be linked to existing articles due to paraphrasing. Also I am not talking about you.

No. The Plagiarist wasn't doing it 'to hurt the original artist,' but 'to get some of the same fan-love that the artist gets.'

I don't understand why someone would plagiarize over very short comments that is just supposed to be your opinion. As for article writing, everyone must not be a writer.
