I haven't been writing there since 11 December. I remember when I last checked on my Niume wallet, it was around 40 cents and barely moved. I just checked on it a few days ago, it went up to $1.20. I thought perhaps it's time to write again and see if it's already back to normal. I just checked on it, it is already $2.60 now.

I don't know what's happening, but hopefully the site is back to normal now.

Happy New Year to everyone. ;)

Happy New year sissy @kaka135, yes the same experience to me. I though I will able to meet the $10 minimum but it did not but it moved so fast that I can't stop writing. I will try to write more than 3 starting today, January 1 and see the progress of my views then I will start treating the site as Blogjob.

Yes, I am busy planning & preparing for the new year, especially the homeschool lessons, so I haven't been writing here and there for quite some time. I'm glad niume sent me emails once in awhile, otherwise I might forget about it. :D

@grecy0905 Good to hear that your motivation has come back. Hope you'll have a great year! :)

I believe practice makes progress. The more you read and write, I am sure you will improve your skill. That's how I learned and am still learning, as English is not my first language. In Niume, it doesn't pay us by the articles we published, but views we gained. So, it doesn't require heavily on our writing skills, but how we market our articles, I suppose.

It would be harder for me to promote the content. I am working on social media these days. So hopefully I will catch some traffic.

It is same everywhere, the internet is full of good and bad stuff and if one thinks he is successful because he is good at SEO, he is mistaken. I have seen good writer lots of SEO and keyword knowledge biting the dust.

To avoid the pestering of unwanted emails from the said site, you better filter you email setting or unsubscribe from their site. If you are determined to get away from them, I don't know if it is better for you to delete your account there. It is only my suggestion if you want to.

I don't know how we can judge whether an article is good or not. I guess it depends whether the article really speaks to the readers. I enjoy reading some posts that are talking about life stories as I can resonate more and might be learning from them, it really doesn't matter whether it's following the SEO rules.

@Angie10 Happy New Year sissy.

I can feel you guys because I am trying my best to pull out a good article about pets and it is not gaining views anymore. The movement is very slow but knowing there is a movement never stop me from writing everyday.

I think it will be better once everyone settles down from the holiday hustle and bustle. I noticed that the last two days there were fewer views. I need to write another article and set a schedule to write more consistently on there so that I can keep up my views. I always seem to run out of time.

The secret of views lies in post and share, there is no other way of gaining views on sites like these. After all very few post 400 words or so on this site. I have seen posts having less than 50 words.

I have seen quite a few posts which are very long (1500-2000 words) and I always wonder why people write so much when the requirement is just five lines.

It depends why people are writing. Some are only there to make money while others are trying to establish themselves as serious writers, and for them the money may not be the top priority. Then again those serious articles may attract views for months or even years to come.

Very true, i's all about why a poster is writing on a particular site so they do it according to their choice. As far I am concerned I mostly write 200 words or so on sites like these.

I know my posts are more than the five lines that are required but what I write about takes more than just five lines. It doesn't take me that long to write my posts. I am not sure I could write anything that was just five lines unless I was just describing a picture that I took. I think it is great that they have the five line minimum for people who can't or don't want to write more and I think it opens the doorway for more people to interact on the site.
