Yes. If the views are unique. I mean if the person who viewed it has seen the content for the first time I still get virils. Today I earned 3 virils because someone viewed one of my posts.
So basically what the Virily Editors have done is ... they are no longer giving a member credit for viewing and commenting; they are only rewarding the content creator if they get views and comments.
It's kind of like Pay-Per-View. The viewer doesn't get any credit for the activity. But the writer does get credit. It's fair to the writer. But it gives the member no motivation to want to view the content or comment. So in essence the writer earns less because the viewer has no monetary incentive.
The people who are there now still submitting content and commenting are the Loyalists. That's what I call them. That is, they are remaining loyal to the site. Most of them are Verified and so they don't have to wait for their content to be approved. They could be there all day generating content and still earn, even if nobody views and/or leaves comments. But I'm neither a Verified member and sorry to say but it's true, I'm not a Loyalist either. The incentives to view and comment have been removed for me. Because it takes so long to approve my posts, I have sort of lost motivation to submit content as well. But that's just me.
