Yes, since it is a discussion-based/driven site spending some time there daily is a must to have any success really. I likely spend a total of two active hours on the site each day, but never all at once, I drift in and out throughout the day.

It happens when you confront the high and mighty pointing out their mistakes which they will act on by bullying. I do not want to tell you who they are

joined mylot in 2018 and so the version that is there now is pretty same as it was then. I think I joined when the old version talked about here was gone already. As time goes by, I realize that I am earning better in the site. I don't know what changed but it is good.

If you joined in 2018 then the old version was long gone. The oldest version was 2006-2013, then from 2013-2016, and now this version.

That is because there is no 'rate' and you get paid for the interaction you get from other people, you do not get paid for the things you actually do.

Nothing grows 'really fast' there, and it will only grow in relation to the activity you get from everyone else, so you have to remain quite active to receive more than a few pennies a day.

Funny, I've been there longer than anyone except one other user, and I don't remember "a lot of bullying in the old myLot". I know people that whined a LOT about 'cliques' and was so sure everyone was against her. But bullying? No. Lots of very loud arguments? Yes.

Hahaha I bet it's because they wouldn't DARE try it on with you, JJ!

But I can hand on heart attest to the fact that there was a time when there were some nasty people who would bully other member on MyLot - I know because I went through it myself. My experience was a mix of racism and bullying and no there was heated exchange, which is why it cut so deeply for me. I personally chose to leave and not bother reporting it to admin (I own that) because like you stated before, I observed it was very 'cliquey' - I thought I was probably fighting a losing battle. I'm not someone who usually backs down but I just didn't see a way out.

On a positive note, in the last one or two years since I've returned to the site, I've observed the atmosphere is totally different - it's a lot more welcoming and warmer and the horrible people appear to have moved on.
