You can increase your prices now, even a slight increase will improve your budget. When there is a shortage and people are searching for goods the prices usually raise.

The water from canned beans and canned peas, is called aquafaba, it can be uses as eggs replacement for baking bread,cake,and cooking meatballs. You cannot make omelettes out of them though,

When I was a kid my momma received welfare. We ate powdered eggs. That's what the government gave away. I see egg substitutes in the grocery store. But I don't see powdered eggs.

Eggs are an ingredient in so many foods. So, when its price rises, that can put a lot of pressure on other things.

Exactly even some of my snacks that egg was part of us is becoming bland now. The eggs used on them is not adequate at all.

eggless cakes exist now because of Aquafaba, which is the water in canned beans and canned peas. It works as egg replacer in cakes.

Yes. In fact there is a lady in my city that runs a business selling sweet cakes, etc. She said she had to increase the prices to cover the cost. Her increased prices don't necessarily translate into increased profits.

Personally, I have a conspiracy theory. They say the price of eggs increased because many of the chickens died from Asian flu. This is not the first time birds died because of Asian flu. I think the birds were infected with Asian flu on purpose. In fact ever since the pandemic, it seems like "someone" is playing with the markets, especially the food supply, and intentionally causing crises. It's all of the part of the Grand Plan for the rich to stay rich and the poor to stay poor!

That's my paranoid commentary on living in this sinful world.

Every day at 5 o'clock PM I watch the local news. You would not believe the news report I just heard.

EGG SMUGGLING!!

Yep. Folks are smuggling eggs across the border the from Mexico. You are not allowed to import agricultural products without first clearing the goods through Customs. Eggs are agricultural products which means you can't sneak them across the border.

Nevertheless ... people have started smuggling eggs.

This only feeds into my paranoid conspiracy theory.

My parents have no problem with their hens as well, but they aren't vaccinated, and they have no contact with other hens or ducks, or rabbits, so I think they are safe. Every day we get 5 or 6 eggs, which is enough for us

I don't doubt that there is a bird flu. I am just paranoid enough to think that they have the crisis a lot larger than it really is. I think that about all food shortages. It's a way for them to jack up the prices.

i remember when they used to say the bird flu was going to get us humans. And the mad cow illness. When mad cow was in the news it just made me buy more beef and eat more burgers!
